Why can't people apparate at Hogwarts? It would make sneaking in and out of the common room much easier. Students aren't supposed to leave the common room after 8:30, but Teddy has actually never been in the common room earlier than that. Hogwarts is just much more interesting in the dark.
Teddy wanted to find Victoire again. He wanted to know if they were still on good terms after the morning. He was afraid she was still mad at him or hasn't forgiven him completely. Teddy has been to the Ravenclaw common room a number of times; finding Victoire would be the hard part. Teddy circled around the common room from the outside of the castle numerous times before he spotted her sitting down in an armchair looking much more relaxed than she did in the morning. She was wearing a baby blue night dress that reached halfway to her knees. Victoire shoulders were exposed, and even the tiniest freckle was able to be seen. Teddy walked back round and leaned on the window near the armchair. "Is that book good?"
"Merde!" Victoire jumped in her seat. She turned around with widened eyes and gasped. "Teddy!" she whispered, "you scared me!"
"I gathered."
"What are you doing here?"
"I wanted to see you, gorgeous."
Victoire's cheeks blushed a rosy shade of pink. Teddy smirked. Victoire put her book down. "What if someone sees you? Teddy, what were you thinking?"
"Quite frankly, I was thinking about you," Teddy leaned further into the common room, "I missed you."
"Teddy, they're going to see you!"
"You're right. Talking here is difficult. Come out here."
"Teddy, I-" Victoire looked around the common room, "alright," she smiled, "I missed you too." She walked towards the window and slid out. She stumbled when she hit the ground, but caught herself by putting a hand on the wall. "I'm really bad at sneaking out."
"You're just a little clumsy. You'll grow out of it."
"A little?" Victoire laughed, "and I haven't grown out of it the day I was practically born!"
"I think you're adorable" Teddy grabbed her hand. "anyway, let's go."
"Go where?"
"Away. We could be seen around here." Teddy gently guided Victoire away from the castle.
"Teddy, it's so dark! Where could we possibly go?"
"You've never snuck out, have you?" Teddy smiled.
"Excuse me?"
"- because if you have, you'd know Hogwarts is the best at night."
"How would you know? You're in people's beds all night."
Teddy rolled his eyes, "well, not every night. Sometimes we're in cupboards or classrooms."
Victoire sighed, "you're an idiot."
"An idiot who really fancies you," Teddy smiled. He wanted to say he loved her, but did he actually? What if he didn't and he said it just because? What if she didn't say it back? He'd look like an arse. Teddy remembered something he'd seen in a muggle film and smiled. "I know where we're going."
