Christmas Eve 2015; 6:10 p.m.
The annual Weasley Christmas dinner at Grimmauld Place began every year at seven, but Teddy always volunteered to go early and decorate and set the table. He liked to decide how Christmas was going to look every year. Harry would give him money to go to the muggle Christmas store in London and he would buy all the decorations for the manor that he wanted. On Christmas Eve he would stuff everything into the chimney and floo powder to Grimmauld Place.
Teddy changed his hair to a more festive dark green, and he wore his best jeans, a white button-down and his father's corduroy jacket. His shoes always came off the minute he stepped into the house.
Bill, George, and Ginny always set up the tree a week before Christmas Eve so Teddy never had to worry about it. The first thing he always did was set his presents down. Teddy never asked Harry for present money; he always tried and get a personal gift for everyone in the family, and he personally delivered his grandmother's Christmas gift every year. This year, since he had turned seventeen a few months prior and she seemed to be the one who had the most sadness about it, he bought her a moleskin notebook and filled every page with reasons he was grateful to have her as a nan.
After putting his gifts down, Teddy set the table. Mrs. Weasley was responsible for bringing the food, so Teddy only needed to set the dishes and silverware. Decorating the house was always last.
On the couch, Teddy laid out everything he purchased at the Christmas store. He noticed he bought more reindeer decorations than usual (and noticeably more mistletoe). He began decorating the first floor of the house when Victoire walked through the door. She smiled shyly at Teddy as she hung up her coat. Once her coat was off, he could see the navy blue dress she wore for tonight. It was simple in detail; with the sleeves reaching a little past her shoulders and a bow tied at the back. The chiffon skirt reached a couple of inches above her knees. Her silver sparkly heels matched the silver she used to line her eyes.
"Merry Christmas," Teddy beamed at her. She smiled back at him and he opened his arms for a hug. She walked over and happily kissed his lips. Teddy hugged her waist. The tips of her curled hair barely touched his arm.
"Merry Christmas," she said before planting another kiss on his mouth. She was still significantly shorter than him; even in heels.
"You," Teddy kissed her cheek, "look absolutely beautiful-" he kissed her nose, "as always." He kissed her forehead.
"I love the green," Victoire ran her hands through her boyfriend's hair. "My mum and dad think I'm out buying last minute Christmas presents," she kissed his cheek, "but I finished my presents a week ago. They're in my purse." Victoire opened her purse and took out roughly fifty presents and placed them under the tree. Wizarding purses were charmed to be large on the inside and small on the outside.
"I came here to help you out," Victoire grinned sheepishly.
"Well," Teddy replied sarcastically, "as much as I don't like it when others fuck with my Christmas vision," he squeezed both her cheeks together with one hand. She had rather chubby cheeks, and she looked very silly. "I'll let you help."
"Why, thank you for your charity, sir," Victoire answered with equal sarcasm.
Teddy told Victoire to decorate upstairs while he finished the first floor of the manor. By the time Teddy had finished, Grimmauld place looked like a gingerbread house. Gold ribbons adorned the staircase. Splashes of red and green covered the walls, and there were little reindeer on the floor.
