I hung up the phone and shouted, "YESSS!" and ran into the room that my sister and step-father was in. "I'm working at the hospital under Dr. Cullen!" I said excited. Apparently he was the best doctor there and treated everyone there more fair than any other doctor. My step-father looked up from the news paper that he was reading and did not look too thrilled. He noticed that I started to frown, and he quickly spoke up. "Hun, it's not that I am not excited for your new found job, I am just not thrilled for the person you work under. If it makes you happy though it makes me happy as well." He continued, ending with a genuine smile.

"Get ready to take Tala to Emily and Sam's, and you can tell them your exciting news as well." He said, looking back down at the paper. It had been a few days since I talked to Paul. He wasn't around the last few times I had come, none of the guys were except for Sam a few times. I helped Tala pack her new favorite and brand new toys, getting ready to taker her to her aunt and uncle.

We arrived in front of the house and as always I let Tala out of the car and she waited until I had her bag and I was ready to walk to the door, and she skipped up to the front door and pushed the doorbell. As always Emily was the one who answered the door and greated her little niece with a hug, then turning to me and giving me a warm, friendly hug.

"How are you today?" She asked. "Amazing." I smiled. "I have news for both you and Sam." Seeing my large smile, Emily smiled back and allowed the two of us in the house. Instead of it only being her in the house, Sam and the rest of his little gang were there as well. "So what's your news?" Emily asked once Tala was happily playing with her toys.

"I got the job at the hospital!" I said, slightly bouncing up and down while smiling big. "Oh congrats!" She said smiling as well. I shifted my gaze to Sam, then to Paul, and quickly to the other guys. I saw that they all wer tense, causing me to frown. It was the same reaction I got from my step-father. I wanted them to be happy for me, happy that I got a job, but they were not, causing me to frown.

"Why is everyone so against the hospital?" I questioned, still frowning. They were all keeping a secret, causing me to frown even more. "I will find out what you all are keeping from me." I said as I stormed out of the house. I headed to my car, grabing my Canon xTi SLR camera with my telephoto lense and left to go deeper into the forest to take pictures of whatever I saw out there.

(With Paul)

The blood drained from his face when she stated that she worked in the hospital. He knew that was the same hospital that the one blood sucker worked at too. She would be in the same building as him and he would be unable to go there to protect her. After she had left the house, he released a growl of frustration, upset about the situation he was being put in.

He felt a hand on his shoulder and turned to see Sam. "Go find her to make sure she is safe." He ordered. He nodded his head and left the house, knowing that Trinity couldn't have gone too far. He ran as fast as his human legs could carry him before he heard a click of a camera. He slowed down and saw Trinity taking pictures of the nature around her.

He stood hidden watching her for a while, taking in her beauty. How he wished she would feel the same way as he felt about her. All he wanted was to crash his lips onto hers and savor the moment. But he couldn't do that, not until she knew the truth about him. He would not drag her into his world unwillingly. He would not lie to her about who he was. Once he was sure she wouldn't run away, he would tell her.

He decided to reveal himself to the older young woman, allowing her to know she was not alone, by making loud noises as he entered the perimeter. He knew she knew he was there, but she had not yet acknowledge him, but continued clicking away. "This always manages to make me feel better when I am upset." She spoke out finally. "Will you tell me why you guys are so uptight about some things?" She asked, letting her camera hang accross her shoulder so that it was behind her arm on her back.

Paul smiled a genuine smile, stepping closer to her, wanting nothing more than to wrap his arms around her. He refrained himself though, still closing the gap. "I'll tell you when I know you won't run away from us." He told her, in reality he meant from him. She smiled up at him, "My life is too wrapped up with you guys now to run away from you all. The longer you wait, the more it will hurt me." She told him.

Paul thought about it, being careful about the words he chooses. "There will be a bonfire this Saturday night. There stories will be told about my family, about your sister and your step-father's family." He slowly began. "Please don't be scared from them, if you try to run away, you will only hurt everyone around you." He ended.

Paul reached his hand out to Trinity and spoke one last time, "Come on, let's go back to the house." Trinity smiled and took his hand, noting the warmth that radiated from his hand.

(Trinity POV)

Before night fell, I left with Tala, wanting to get her home early enough to eath dinner and get to sleep before seven. My mother and I always made sure she never was awake past eight, wanting to give her enough sleep for the next day. After she fell asleep, I went into my room and decided to go online and surf the web for D.I.Y. things to do with Tala the next day when I heard a noise outside the house.

I looked at the time, seeing that John should be home in an hour, when it was only 7:30. I locked all the doors and turned off every light so that I could see outside and no one can see inside the house. Next I heard a pounding on the door, noticing someone was trying to break their way through the door. My first instinct was to run to Tala's room and lock her door, then pull out my phone and call Sam and Emily.

"Hello?" I heard Emily's voice on the phone. "Someone's trying to break into the house." I said hurridly as I picked up Tala. I heard the door start to cave in. "Oh my god, they are almost through the door." I had never been so scared in my life. I heard Emily quickly tell Sam what was happening, then I heard her talking to me again. "Trinity, hide somewhere, Sam and the rest of the guys are on their way." The door finally smashed in. "He's in the house now." I started to whisper.

I carried Tala to the closet and hid in there while I was on the phone with Emily still. I heard the belongings in our house being tossed around and footsteps going through every room as the doors are thrown open. Then they came to our door. The door knob jiggled a bit, then the person realized the door was locked. The jiggle of the door knob became more violent. then he started to crash against the door, trying to break into the room. Tala woke up and I held my hand over her mouth to keep her from being loud. She looked up and understood what I wanted.

Then it all stopped. "Trinity?" I heard Paul's voice. I quickly got out of the closet and opened the door with Tala still in my arms. I ran straight into his arms and he wrapped his arms around me, causing me to feel completely safe. I finally allowed the tears to flow down my face. "Uncle Sam!" Tala started to squirm in my arms, so I released the small girl and let her run to Sam. He took her outside, and I still stood there in Paul's arms.

"Are you alright?" He asked, placing his hands on my arms and pushing me away a little to look me over. "I'm fine, just shaken up." I told him. He sighed, it was almost a content sigh, but his face still showed that he was worried with a mix of anger. "You shouldn't be home alone anymore." Paul said. In a way I agreed with him, not wanting to be alone, but I was almost offended, as if he was saying that I could not take care of myself.

He saw the mix emotions in my eyes, and frowned. "What I meant is that it is not safe for you to be home alone right now. You should stay with us until your father gets home at night." I nodded, agreeing. He placed his arm around my shoulder, allowing me to lean into his body, soaking up his body warmth. Once we were outside around the others, he took his arm from around me, as if he didn't want the guys to see what he was doing. I smirked, realizing he wanted to keep his image from spoiling.
