It's been a week and Paul literally hasn't left my side for one second, and I don't mind. Well, I'm lying, he lets me do my personal business on my own and he will go and do his on his own. Other than that, we sleep, eat, and hang out with one another all the time. This next week will be his last in school, and I promised him that I would stay inside Sam and Emily's house when he was at school, except for when I dropped him off and picked him up.
"Hey, Paul?" I spoke up as we sat outside, soaking up the sun. "Yeah, Trin?" He replied. "Where are we going?" I asked, talking about our relationship. "What do you mean?" He asked. "Are we just going to be like this forever?" He still didn't understand, he kept giving off a confused look. I frowned. "I'm talking about our relationship, Paul!" I cried out, scooting away a little. This caused him to frown. "Paul, I know you feel something for me, but if our relationship will never go anywhere but where it is now, I don't think I can continue on." I explained. "I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to get married to you, have a family with you. If you never make the next move, that will never happen though." My eyes started to water, starting to get emotional.
Paul scooted closer, grabing my face and pulling me closer to him. "Don't you doubt for a second that I want this relationship to go further. I'm sorry I've been a chicken and haven't asked you to be my girlfriend already. I know you want to be with me, but there has been this fear inside me that there is a chance you will reject me." He explained.
"Stop being a chicken Paul and just ask! Live life and take risks!" I cried out, standing up and turning away from him, looking up at the sky. I felt a hand grab my wrist and turned me around, and then pulled me closer to him. I looked up putting my hands on his cest and one of his hands gripped my waist, as his other hand pushed my hair behind my ear. "Trinity, you are all I need and could ever want. I want you by my side the rest of my life. I want you to eventually be my wife and have our children." He whispered to me. "Trinity, be my girlfriend and all of my dreams will come true." He finished.
"Of course." I whispered back with a large smile on my face. After my response, I was pulled into a deep, passionate kiss that was filled with love. I pulled back to see Paul with a goofy, large smile on his face. I couldn't help but return his smile with one of my own. We were now officially a couple.

He now held his girlfriend, his love, in his arms. It's been two weeks since he finally asked her to be his and he loved being able to call her his girlfriend, to call her only his. He could no claim her for himself, and not worry about her getting mad. He looked down at the beauty he held in his arms. He wanted nothing but to make this moment last forever. He was finally happy with his life. Something is finally going his way now, and he couldn't ask for more.
"Let's get a place of our own when you graduate high school." She randomly said, finally getting out what she had been wanting to say. "I have enough saved up to support us and pay for the apartment." She continued slowly, careful with what she said. Paul thought about it for a moment. How he would love to live with her and only her. He thought about living together and how amazing it would be. No one to interrupt them, no one else could disrupt them with their loud voices, Paul could be himself and never have to put up a front for the guys.
Trinity frowned when she didn't get an answer. Paul noticed this and quickly spoke up, "I would love to only live with you. It would make me so happy to have you all to myself, and never having to share you with anyone else." He smiled. Trinity's frown turned into a smile quickly. She was happy that he would love living with her as well, the truth is, she is ready for the next step in their relationship, she is ready for a full on commitment. Only problem is, she knows Paul isn't. The problem is, Trinity is three years ahead of Paul, she is looking for marriage soon, but Paul hasn't even started his life yet. She understands this, but she still can't help wanting to move on in life.
Paul could see the struggle in Trinity's eyes. He wanted to ask so badly what she was thinking, but he was unsure if he should or not. He decided to take Trinity's words of advice and risk it. "I can see you are thinking about something, what is it?" He questioned. Trinity looked up into his eyes, debating if she should tell him or not. She didn't want to scare him away, but she wanted to tell him so badly. "I don't think you are ready for what I am thinking about. When I know you are ready, that will be when I tell you." She answered.
Paul frowned. He really wanted to know what was going on in her head, but he knew she would tell him when she was ready. He quickly hid the frown and smiled down at the love of his life and kissed her on her forehead. He did not want to do anything that would screw up their relationship, so he would not push her any further.

That day I left Sam and Emily's to go back to spend time with John and Tala. It had been a while since I had a weekend with them, and I decided that it would be good for the three of us to spend a day to ourselves.
I pulled up to the familiar house, and got out of my car, walking up to the front door and opened it. "Trin!" The childish voice came as I opened the door. "Why, hello Tala." I smiled as I picked up the young girl and continued to the kitchen. There I found John reading the news paper while he drank his coffee. "Ahh, I see you have made it Trinity." He said, smiling at me.
The three of us took John's car and we left for seattle to have lunch, then head to the park. "It's not the same without you at the house Trinity." John told me as we sat at the table waiting for our food to arrive. "I miss being with you two. Paul doesn't like me leaving Sam and Emily's though. He feels it is much safer for me there if he isn't around." I told my step-father. He smiled a sad smile. "He's right though. After that, incident, who knows if there is a mate who will show up now." He said, carfully choosing his words. We were still protecting Tala from the mess, she was much too young to know still.
"I suggested to Paul that once he gets out of high school we should move into an apartment together." I told him, temporarily changing the subject. John raised an eyebrow as he looked at me intently. "Is the young lad ready for that kind of commitment?" He asked me. I sighed, slightly frowning. "I'm not that sure, thats why I onlybrought it up, and made it clear it would be when he is finished with high school." I replied, looking down at my hands. "The problem is, I'm ready for marriage, I want to make the next step in our relationship, but I know he wouldn't be ready. I know he is only three years younger than me, but honestly, at this point in life, it's a big age difference. I'll be turning twenty-two, I have my career established, I have no where else to go but to start a family of my own." I continued. "Paul, he has much to figure out about himself, he has no idea what he wants to do with his life after high school. He isn't ready for that kind of commitment."
"I know this isn't something you want to hear, but maybe you two need some time apart, let him figure out who he is without you. He needs to establish himself before he is fully committed to you. He needs to be a man first." John told me. I knew John was right, but I knew Paul wouldn't want to do
