(Paul)
He sat down in a chair next to the bed that he had put her in. He knew he should have followed her outside when she went out there, then that leech would have never gotten to her, and she would be safe with him. He knew now would be the time that he would tell her the truth about him and everyone else. It will help keep her safe. He reached his hand to her face, moving her hair out of her face. He looked down at her lips, tempted to kiss them. He looked around, seeing that whoever left last closed the door, then looked down at Trinity, seeing that she was not going to wake up for a while.
He gave into the temptation, leaning down to kiss her on the lips. Even though she was not awake for it, it made his heart skip a beat, feeling her soft pink lips up against his rough lips. He loved the feeling, and wanted more, but he would not take advantage of her body. The rest of that night he sat with her, he eventually laid down on the full size bed with her and fell asleep next to the beautiful love of his life.
(Trinity)
I woke up to Paul's face in front of mine. I couldn't help but smile at his sleeping form. I lifted my hand to trace his face from the top of his head down his cheek and to his chin, then ran my hand down to his chest. I then saw his hand move up and rest on top of my hand, and I looked up to see his eyes staring straight into mine. Worried eyes stared back at me, and that is when I remembered what happened before I passed out.
"Does this all have to do with the secret?" I asked in a soft voice. He frowned and nodded his head. Slowly I sat up, and he sat up as well, making sure that I was alright. He frowned, before he started to spill it all to me. "That guy that attacked you, well, he is a vampire." He slowly began, picking his words carefully. "And I, well all of the guys including me, are shape shifters; we turn into wolves. We are meant to protect humans from the vampires." He explained to me.
"I see now why you were worried I would run away from you." I spoke up. I looked up at him, he looked so scared, I took his hand in mine. "It's a little farfetched, but before I passed out, I saw n abnormally large wolf. I believe you Paul, and I won't ever run away from you." I told him. His worried look turned into a smile, and I returned the smile.
"What happened to that guy though?" I asked, hoping he was gone forever. "After I pulled him off of you, he took off, running away. So you still aren't safe, he can come back at any time, so it isn't safe for you to be alone." I nodded, understanding now why he, or any of the others, never wanted me outside alone.
I leaned up against him, and when I did so, he put his arm around my waist. We sat like that for a while, until I decided it would be best to show everyone that I was alright. We headed into the room where everyone else was, and Paul had his arm around my waist until we were in view of everyone else.
Emily was the first one over to engulf me into a hug. "We took Tala home to John, and told him that you fell asleep and we didn't want to wake you up. This way he would get his father daughter time in with her." I nodded. "Thanks." I said.
After everyone made sure I was alright, everything went back to normal. I went into the kitchen to help Emily out, but she wouldn't let me and told me to sit down. So instead I kept her company as she cooked. "Did he finally tell you?" She asked. "Yeah, he did." I answered. "So he told you about imprinting?" She asked. "What?" I asked. I remember imprinting being mentioned at the bonfire, but I assumed it was just part of the legends, so I didn't bother asking Paul about it. "That's true too?" Emily's eyes went wide.
I walked out and went to find Paul, who was outside with Jared and Embry. "Paul, can I talk to you?" He nodded, the worried look entered his eyes again. We walked away out of earshot of everyone. "Emily told me that imprinting isn't just a legend." I told him. His eyes widened. "Sorry, I wasn't sure when to bring it up." He said, slightly nervous. "No, don't be sorry, I didn't think of asking." I replied, not angered. "So, have you imprinted on anyone yet?" I asked, hoping that his answer would be yes, only if I was the one he imprinted on of course.
He looked me over, debating on what to say, I knew what I wanted, but I was afraid of what the answer really would be. "Yes." He simply said, nothing more and nothing less. I stopped walking, and he turned to me and sighed. "Trinity, I don't want to keep secrets from you anymore. I want you to know that, well, you are the one I imprinted on."
