(Trinity)
It has been weeks since the day after the bonfire, and although our relationship has not progressed, it had gotten stronger than ever.I had finally worked my first day in the hospital and now I work at least three days a week now, (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday), with weekends off.I finally met someone a few years older than me, a nurse who is 25 and goes by the name Melissa Dae.Ever since I had moved to Washington, I have not been to any clubs or bars, while in California I went every Friday night.I had learned that Melissa goes to clubs at least once a weekend and had invited me to go with her this Friday night.I was stoked, finally able to do something people my age do every weekend.
I scrunched my hair and grabbed out one of the cocktail dresses that I use to wear when I went to the clubs in California.I pulled out my floral lace stockings, purple heals and matching accessories, as well as a gray beanie.
Content with my appearance I helped Tala pack stuff to stay over at Emily and Sam’s for the night since John was going to be out of town for the weekend for a work related trip. After we were finished, there was a knock at the door, I went to open it and saw Melissa and her designated driver and sister, April who was 18 and wouldn’t be drinking but still old enough to go to the 18 club.I grabbed my purple purse and Tala’s bag and went with Melissa to the car.
We were now on our way over to Emily and Sam’s where we would drop off Tala.April stopped the car in front of the house, and I got out with Tala and walked her to the car as she skipped to the door.“Pauly!” Tala shouted just as we got to the door.I looked up to see Paul just standing there gawking.I smirked, pleased that he liked what he saw.“Where are you going?” He asked.Sam and Emily must not have told the guys.“To a club with my friend from work and her sister in Seattle.”I informed him.
It was not hard to miss the frown on his face.I turned to Tala and told her to go inside with her bag to find Sam and Emily. She listened and skipped inside.“What’s wrong?” I asked him.“I just wish I could go with you there to make sure no one tries anything.” He answered.I smiled at how sweet he was being.“It’s alright, I’ve been to plenty of clubs and know not to pick up any of those guys there.I also know how to turn them away. When you turn 18 I’ll make sure we go together.”He smiled, sort of convinced but not full.“The next time you go is when I’ll be 18.And not any time before that.”I nodded and put my hand behind his neck, pulling him down a little further to kiss his cheek and give him a hug.“I’ll have April and Melissa drop me off here instead of my house, I don’t want to be alone tonight.”I told him.“I’ll see you tomorrow then.” I continued as I turned to walk away.I could feel his eyes watching me as I walked back to the little black Jetta Volkswagen.
“Who was that handsome piece of meat?” Melissa asked as she turned to me as I jumped into the back seat with a wink.“That would currently be my best friend, hopefully a love interest in the future.” I winked back.“Why aren’t you bringing him along with us?” April asked, confused.“Well, for one, I thought this was a girl’s night thing. Two,” I paused and blushed, “He’s younger than you.”I saw April’s eyes widen in the rearview mirror, and Melissa turned towards me again with her eyes wide and jaw dropped.“You pedophile!” Melissa shouted.“No she is a cougar!” April piped in.“You guys! When I first met him I thought he was within a year or two of my age.” I defended.“Besides, he still looks older than me.”
By the time we got to the club, we dropped the subject of Paul and were out to have a great time.Several times guys came up behind me thinking I was too drunk to stop them, but that was not the case.I might have one too many drinks, causing me to be a little all over the place, but I am never too drunk to push away a perverted guy, nor am I ever too drunk to forget the night.
As promised, April and Melissa dropped me off at Sam and Emily’s.I stumbled up to the house and open the door with the key Sam and Emily had given me a while ago.I opened the door to see all of the guys minus Sam and Seth still awake.I locked the door, took off my hat and shoes and laid them down by the door along with my purse, stumbling a little while doing so.I heard chuckles from the guys.“I might be drunk, but I am still aware of you guys laughing at me.” I spoke perfectly clear.
One thing I was always happy about, no matter how much I drank, it appeared to not have affected my speech or thoughts.I slowly walked over to the couch, very tired from the night.I immediately sat on Paul’s lap, who was sitting on the couch, curled up and mumbled, “Good night” to all of the guys before passing out in Paul’s arms.
(Paul)
Paul stared down at the sleeping beauty that he held on his lap.The outfit she had worn made him wish that he could have been there with her the whole night, to keep the guys from staring at her lustfully. He started to shake thinking about all of the guys, but Trinity had moved, causing him to look at her sleeping form, and causing him to calm down immediately. The guys all have seen this, they were shocked that he could calm down by just staring at the older girl.
Eventually all of the guys fell asleep, and left the whole couch to Paul and Trinity.Paul laid down on his back with Trinity lying on top of him, her stomach against his.Paul slowly ran his hand through her tangled hair, careful not to pull it.This action eventually put him in a peaceful sleep.
