I sat up, looking around my surroundings, remembering that I slept at Emily and Sam's. I got out of the bed, grabbed my outfit I planned on wearing today and went to the bathroom to shower.

I was drying my hair with my towl as I entered the room where I heard my little sister's voice. "Trin!" She shouted, running over to me, clinging on to my legs. I chuckled as I patted her head. "I miss you too, baby. How was your day with daddy?" I asked the young child. "He took me to get ice cream and a toy!" She exclaimed, excited. She then ran off to her toys, and my phone started to buzz.

"Hello?" I spoke into the phone. "Meet me at the house, and then we will go somewhere from there." John's voice came from the phone. After allowing Tala to talk to her father, I hung up, and told everyone I was going out for lunch with my father and would be back in about an hour and a half.

"I know it wasn't a bear that attacked my mother." I told him. I was in the passenger seat and he was driving to a local diner. "What are you talking about?" John asked, nervous. "I know about shape shifters and vampires. I know it was a vampire that killed my mom." I explained. He sighed. "I really didn't want to get you involved with this mess, but this is the only safe place I knew about. They know how to protect humans from vampires. I knew here you and Tala would be safe with Sam." He told me.

We were now seated at a booth. "One came after me the other night." I told him. "I know, Sam told me. That's why I would prefer you to stay with him. He is capable of protecting you, along with the other guys." He winked after his last comment, causing me to slightly blush. "Oh yes, I know about you and that one boy, Paul. I see you like younger men. Just like your mother." He joked.

It's been about a week since my talk with John. Most nights I have been staying at Sam and Emily's house, only going home for a night or two only when John is there. After all the events, I do not want to be left alone. I was currently home for the day, since it was Friday morning, and Paul was in school with the rest of the guys.

I decided to go get the mail before I left with John and Tala. I flipped through it seeing majority of it was junk, until I came across an envelope with no return address or stamp with my name on it. I took everything inside, setting it in the basket reserved for mail, and opened the envelope with my name on it.

Trinity,

Prom at my school is coming up soon, and I would be honored if you would go as my date. You are the only one I want to go with. I understand if you do not want to go, so just give me your answer next time you see me.

-Paul

I stared at the little letter, depending on what I wanted to do. Of course I would love to go with Paul, but let's face it, I'm 21, been out of high school for three years now. Do I really want to spend the night with dramatic teens? I thought about the pros and cons and decided upon my answer. I grabbed a piece of paper writing my response for Paul, and placed it in a new envelope with his name on it.

(Paul)

He entered Sam and Emily's house and noticed that it was only the two of them at the house. He walked into the kitchen to see an envelope with his name on it sitting on the counter.

Paul,

If it means spending a whole night with you, then I would love to go. But I have only one condition, majority of the night will not be near your fellow classmates.

♥ Trinity

He smiled, glad that she had not turned him down. He was worried that she wouldn't want to go because of her age. Her condition didn't bother him either because he really didn't want to be around the school body most of the night anyways.

He walked outside and decided to sit outside. After a while of being outside, he saw the familiar black Dodge Challenger roll up. He saw Trinity get out and walk towards him. She looked down at his hand seeing her note still in it.

"I see you found my note." She said, smirking. "Yeah." Paul smiled. The two just stood there for a while staring at each other. Paul looked Trinity up and down, noticing how cute she looked in her shorts and blue top. His eyes then wandered to her lips. How he wished he could freely kiss her, but he knew he had to wait until he found the perfect moment to ask her to be his.

"Let's go inside." Trinity said, interrupting his thoughts. He slightly blushed, causing Trinity to smirk, and she grabbed his hand, pulling him inside the house with her.

(Trinity)

I stared at Paul as we sat down inside the house on one of the couches. Not too much longer after we entered the house, the rest of the guys arrived, sitting down with us. I continued staring at Paul, wondering when he would actually ask me to be his girlfriend. I knew he loved me, I knew I was the only one for him, but when he would actually tell it to my face, I did not know.

"Trinity?" I heard someone say, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Sorry, I spaced out for a moment." I said to Embry. The rest of the guys had left while I was lost in my thoughts, I noticed it, but did not give my full attention to it.

"Are you alright?" He asked. "I don't understand why you two are together if you both know your feelings for each other." He continued. "Well, I am an old fashion girl. I will only be with someone if they ask me to be their girlfriend. He hasn't done that yet, so we are not together." I explained. He nodded understanding now.

"Well, he better ask soon before it's too late. I want to see you two happy." He smiled, being genuine about it, as he stood up. I stood up as well and gave him a hug. "I am happy to see that Paul has such a good friend like you, and I am glad to be able to call you my friend as well." We both pulled away and went off to find everyone else.
