Located outside Canberra in Australia is a ground NASA station. It was a part of Deep Space Communication Complex that mainly comprised of employees who were working on a top secret mission for the US government.

Most of their agents were on secret missions with no contact of the outside world. It was one of primary requirements of their employment contact. Maintaining complete anonymity.

However, the human resource manager was opening the file of one of their lead scientists to figure out the exact opposite of that. Professor Aisha Banks which was a pseudo name she had gone by, had died earlier that day while she was working on a mission.

A unfortunate accident.

"She was born Lyana D'souza. Never married. Two kids. Twins. A girl and a boy. She left a letter about what to do with her kids in case of an incident like this." The Manager reads the file to the Station chief.

"Open it." The Chief instructs.

"The letter just has a contact, Chief. The father. Goes by the name Nikhil Singh Vadera. He lives in New York. But..."

The Chief raises his brows. "But?"

"Professor Banks wrote in here that the father does not know and she left another letter for his information only."

"Know what, Michaels?"

"Of their...for lack of a better word...existence, Chief."

"The Dude doesn't know he has kids, let alone twins?"

"No Sir."

"Well, she must have good reasons for keeping him in the dark. I will call this Mr.Vadera and find out if he wants to claim them. If not..."

"You have to phone the US child services department, Chief. They are US citizens. As you know, this is unprecedented. We never had such a situation before. We are treading unknown waters here. As a secondary matter, she left instructions on what to do with her body. She wanted incineration and holding of her ashes for her kids until they turn eighteen."

"Okay. Make arrangements for that. How old are the kids?" The chief asks.

"They are eight, Chief."

"Oh boy, that is going to be a tough ten years for them. With or without their father. Knowing Professor Banks, her kids will miss her endlessly."

"Yes Sir."

"Oh, she was a beauty. In and Out. What are their names?"

"Lana and Siddharth."

"Where are they right now?"

"In school, Chief."

"They don't know?"

"No, Chief."

"Let's keep it that way. We will inform the children after we sort out the chain of custody."

"Yes, Sir." the Manager stands to leave.

"Michaels?"

"Yes, Chief."

"Professor Banks died a National hero. We need to make sure her loved ones are taken care of."

"Of course Chief." He nods and leaves with purpose.

Once the door closes. The chief looks at the letter - An address and a picture of Prof Banks with who he assumed to be the father. He places a call.
