I was back in the commotion of the waiting room, all of the different set of voices ripping threw my brain. I held my head and winced, looking around carefully. People crying, the announcements going out over the loudspeakers, the sound of voices behind the desks on the telephone.

"No! I need to see them now!" a familiar voice yelled followed by the sound of a fist slamming against the countertop.

"I'm sorry, Ike Broflovski, Kyle Broflovski and Stan Marsh are all in the Intensive Care Unit" the woman behind the desk answered the voice.

At the sound of my name I spun around and followed the voice coming to my ears and searched with my eyes. At the information desk was Kenny McCormick, Eric Cartman and Butters Stotch, my three best friends. "G-guys?" I stuttered, walking at a slow pace towards the desk where Kenny, Butters and Cartman were.

Butters put an arm around the back of Cartman's neck and hugged her close, "It's okay, we'll see them soon" he purred, trying to calm him down.

"No Butters!" he snapped, pulling away from him "Kyle's parents just died, his brother and Stan are all in the ICU" he sobbed "The ICU!" he emphasized "That's code for they-might-die-we-have-to-keep-a-close-watch-on-them!"

Kenny attempted to pull Cartman in close, into a hug but he tried to pull away, Kenny forcefully pulled him into a hug and started running his hands threw his brown hair.

Cartman tried to squirm away and started slamming him fists into his chest, screaming at Kenny and Butters to let him go and soon bursting into another fit of tears and held her head against Kenny's chest.

"I need to see them" Cartman demanded, his voice wavering, shaky, the pitch changing over at every word.

"Look, the next time that elevator opens, we'll slip in, okay?" Kenny asked him, putting his hands on his shoulders and looked into his eyes.

Kenny's eyes turned past him and stared at the silver elevator at the end of the hall, close to everyone, so it wouldn't be a secret if they slipped into the doors. His eyes kept darting between Cartman and the elevator doors, waiting for them to open.

I held my breath and stepped closer to them, so much closer I was right next to Butters. He couldn't see me, but  smiled weakly and put my arms down at my side and slipped one of my hands into his. "It's okay" I whispered, even though he couldn't hear me.

Ash put his hand around Cartman's arm "Ready?" he asked him, sternly staring at him, widening his eyebrows. Cartman bit his quivering bottom lip and lightly nodded his hand up and down. Kenny and Butters both nodded at each other.

The large silver doors of the elevator opened, a nurse holding the handles of a wheelchair, exited.

Without warning, Kenny pulled Butters and Cartman along with him, dragging them behind him. I raced next to them, holding my breath. They slipped into the elevator doors and I slipped in after them. Nobody had noticed.
