Kenny softly laughed, startled, I raised my head off of my bended elbow and turned towards them. Kenny's wrinkles at the side of his eyes showed, he let out a sobbing laugh. "Look at this photo" Kenny beckoned at Butters and Cartman at his phone, turning it horizontally and allowing the two to lean over and gaze at the photo.
Cartman sadly smiled and stared intensely at the photograph on Kenny's phone. His smile disappearing and being replaced by watery eyes which he was quick to hide.
"This is my best photo of him" Kenny explained "Doesn't he look so happy?" Kenny marveled. I couldn't see the picture, but I knew what he was talking about. The one photo he had kept of us over everyone else.
Kenny sniffled and rubbed his nose "You know, Kyle would walk into a room full of people you would know. This guy is going to be something special" he pursed his full lips and shoved his phone back into his coat pocket, looking away from Butters and Cartman and down at the linoleum ground.
I felt my mouth open and I quickly closed it. This girl is going to be something special. The words echoing in my brain, as if printed to my forehead. Would I ever become something special?
Nope. The low voice butted in.
I gripped the side of the chair and leaned forward, closer towards Kenny. "You're something special to me too, Kenny" I whispered in a voice so soft it was like dust. I placed a hand on his and he jerked.
"What was that?" he gulped, looking around frantically, and realizing there was nothing there sat back down and looked around to make sure nobody had noticed him jumping around. "Stan and Kyle will always be my best friends" he remarked, rubbing the top of his hand delicately. "Forever"
