Chapter 13

Jace's POV

If Izzy knows then that means everyone knows. She can't keep a secret to save her life. Well I guess our little surprise is ruined. Oh well it's time to face the rest of the gang.

"How did you find out?" I asked.

"Well Holly told us of course, you know seen as how she was there when it happened!" Izzy exclaimed.

"You have got to be kidding me I thought she left!" Clary said angrily.

"No why would I be joking about something like that. Unless Holly did something! Holy crap what did she do?" Izzy asked Clary and I with curiosity in her voice.

"It's not what she did it's what she said" I said to Izzy.

After explaining what Holly had said to me about Clary not finding out if I cheated on her. Well Izzy took the stairs three at a time walks up to Holly and bitch slapped her so hard you could hear the slap from the top of the stairs. Then that's when I heard the screaming start and ran down the stairs as fast as possible.

"WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE! GOING AROUND AND TELLING PEOPLE TO CHEAT ON THE LOVE OF THEIR LIFE!" I heard Izzy scream at well who I assumed was Holly.

"Izzy calm down I think you are mistaken, I have no idea what you are talking about" Holly said trying to sound shocked of being accused of something so serious but failing miserably.

"SWEETHEART DON'T TELL ME TO CLAM DOWN! YOU TRIED TO BREAK UP MY BROTHER AND THE ONLY GIRL HE HAS EVER TRULY LOVED, OH AND MY BEST FRIEND BY THE WAY!" Izzy screamed some more at Holly.

And with that I heard more loud foot steps taking the stairs way too fast. It was Clary, she was running towards the kitchen towards Izzy and Holly's screaming match. I of course grabbed her by the wrist before she could barge in and join in on the screaming match. Hopefully with the help of Alec, he and I could calm Izzy down enough to get her away from Holly. Then we would be able to get Holly the hell away from the institute and away from our family.

"Jace let me go Izzy needs my help to take down that lying manipulative bitch!" Clary exclaimed.

"I know Clary I want her gone to but this isn't the way to do it. When you and Izzy react to her it will just make her want to stay so she can mess with all of us" I said as I brought Clary into a hug.

"But how do we get rid of her then?" Clary asked.

"Well that will be answered once we enter the kitchen" I said as I took her hand pulling her into the kitchen with me.

When we walked ink the kitchen we saw what looked like Izzy pinning Holly against the wall and Alec struggling to get her off of Holly. All while Clary stood there in shock and I went and tried to help Alec. Once we pulled the two girls apart Holly looked at me and said,

"Oh thank you Jace! You saved me from Izzy's mental breakdown" Holly said while trying to hug me.

"Yeah but I was trying to help Izzy out" I said while walking over to Clary and taking her hand in mine.

"Oh makes sense seen as how she's your 'sister' and all" Holly said sarcastically.

"Well if you would excuse us Clary and I need to talk to our family" I said putting emphasis on family.

"Well if it's about your engagement it kind of slipped out this morning so they already know sorry I thought you guys had already told them" Holly said.

"Well we hadn't but you know it's no big deal but we are going to be talking about family things, and we would like to do that alone" Clary said as she squeezed my hand telling me she understands my plan.

After Holly left I told the others the plan to make Holly leave by killing her with kindness well more like not giving into her. By giving her the reaction that she wants. And of course later that evening Maryse came home. We told her about the engagement, but we left out the parts with Holly.
