Clary's POV

One week later...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I still couldn't believe that my mom would say something so horrible to me. About my choice in friends and boyfriends. About the people I spend time with. I knew the only person she truly liked out of my friends was Simon. The one thing she said to me that stung the most was;
"Clary I know you think that you belong at that place, and with those people but you don't. You belong here with Luke and I. You are supposed to find a mundane boyfriend. Why couldn't you have just stayed with Simon he would have been prefect for you."
And that's the last thing I let her say I grabbed Jace's hand a pulled him out the door and slamming it shut behind us. That's when I broke down into Jace's arms. As soon as we got home I told him everything that she had said. Jace just held me, and let me cry whispering things that I didn't pay attention to into my ear.
"Hey Clary, Izzy wants to know if you want something from Taki's" I hear Alec ask from the doorway.
"Sure tell her to just get me the usual, oh but before you go where's Jace?" I asked.
"Don't know he went out this morning to run an errand and said he would be back sometime around I guess now." Alec said as he left.
And at exactly that moment Jace came upstairs and walked into the room.
"Hey where have you been all day?"
"I just went to run some errands." Jace stated.
"Oh what kind of errands?" I asked.
"Wouldn't you like to know?" Jace said as he raised an eyebrow and smirked at me.
"Fine don't tell me! But I guess that means no Clary time for you!" I said with a pout while I ran out the bedroom door past Jace.
After running away from Jace I ran into the greenhouse and waited to see how long it would take him to find me. While I waited Izzy texted me telling me my food was here. I told her I would come eat later, because I was hiding from Jace.
"Clary I know your in here. So just come out." Jace said as he walked up the greenhouse stairs.
"I'll never come out!" I yelled.
"Fine I guess I'll just eat your food from Taki's and anything else of yours that I want seen as how you will never come out" Jace said and I could even hear that he was enjoying this.
"Hey no far! The only reason that I am hiding is because of you!" I yelled.
"Not my problem Clary!" Jace yelled but I could sense that he was closing in on me.
That's when I knew I needed to find and new hiding spot, and fast. But right when I was about to run for my new spot, a pair of arms grabbed my waist. There was no way I was getting out if the death grip that Jace had me in. So I gave up fighting and let him carry me down the stairs towards the kitchen. That's when I knew my mom was wrong about the Lightwoods and Jace. Because there is nowhere else that I feel this safe and comfortable in. Not even my moms place, because that wasn't my home anymore the New York Institute was.
