Chapter 16:Dance Practice and The Mall

Maddie's POV

I walk into the dance studio just in time and see Evie there, ugh,"Evie, what are you doing here?" I say annoyed with an eyebrow raised.

Evie's POV

I was doing warm ups wearing a grey crop top that says Los Angeles, black leggings, and black flats,"I dance here as of today" I say proudly and Ms.Kate starts to speak

Ms.Kate's POV

"Good morning class, today we'll be practicing our dance routine for reigonals, who wants to audition for female solo?" Maddie, Evie, and Stephanie raise up their hands,"Okay guys, first up Maddie"

Maddie's POV

I start doing my routine to Coming Home from The Next Step and when I finish I get a standing ovasion.

-Timeskip to the end of the last audition-

Ms.Kate's POV

I clap,"That was great guys, I've made a decision and our female soloist is, Maddie!" I say clapping and Evie starts to scream,"Evie!" I say firmly,"This is a place about good sportsmanship! Not a place for cry babies!" I say to Evie,"I'm calling your parents" I say.

Evie's POV

I whine,"Maddie! You can't win, I always win I'm the best! My mommy and daddy are super rich so I can sue this place!" I say marching downstairs to wait for my parents.

-Timeskip to the end of class

Maddie's POV

I leave the dance studio and walk to the mall and I spot my friends by H&M and I jog to them,"Hey guys, sorry I was at dance practice..." I say holding Lauren's hand.

Lauren's POV

I smile as Maddie holds my arm but I feel very weird, because I feel like she's getting jealous of me just because I guest starred on KC Undercover,"Oh yeah guys I got your stuff" I say handing them a picture of themselves and Z's autograph, except for Maddie because I gave her the autograph on Tuesday.

Ariana's POV

My stomach grumbles as I see the food court,"Thanks, Lauren" I say to Lauren and then I say,"Can we go to the food court, I'm hungry!"

Natalie's POV

I laugh and we all head over to the food court and go to a KFC, I order a Doublicious and a Sprite, Lauren orders a popcorn chicken meal and Fanta, Maddie orders a Boss burger with large fries, and a Coke, Ariana orders a zinger burger with large fries and a Pepsi. "Let's dig in" I shout. Everyone laughs. Everyone but Maddie.

Maddie's POV

Things are kind of awkward between me and Lauren all because of yesterday when she was on KC Undercover, I just feel like it's not fair she gets all the opportunites, and I'm stuck with almost divorced parents!

Lauren's POV

My smile turns into a frown when I see Maddie not laughing,"What's up, Mad? I'm worried about you, you've been acting akward ever since I told you I was going on TV."

Maddie's POV

"You know what," I say to Lauren. "I'm sick and tired of you talking about your dumb opportunities! Maybe if you stop talking about dumb Zendaya I wouldn't be so upset!" Everyone stares at my and I just start to cry. "I'm so sorry'" I say realising what I've done " I guess I'll just leave" I say awkwardly. I leave 20 dollars on the table to pay for the food then I pick up my bag and walk home.

Once I get home I change into a top that says Never Lose Hope, some neon purple and neon pink shorts, and my emu boots. I put on some black mascara and eyeliner and smoky eyeshadow. I put on some transparent lip gloss and wait for Eldon.

Lauren's POV

I pay for my food and run after Maddie, and when I reach her house her mom opens the door and I enter the house running up to Maddie's room opening her door,"Maddie! You asked me to get you stuff from her, I got them for you and you started to act so unusual!" I pause and look at her outfits,"Why did you change?" I say sitting on her bed

Mrs. Luis's POV

"Maddie,honey there's a boy waiting downstairs for you" I say to Maddie.

Maddie's POV

"Sorry, that's my date" I say grabbing my back running downstairs,"Hey Eldon, lets go!" I say as run out the door.

Lauren's POV

I open my mouth to speak but she's already out the door so I text her,"What was that about" and press send. She's texts back,"Sorry😒" I furrow my eyebrows and walk out of her room and go to out of her house saying bye to her mom and I walk to my house.
