Chapter 21 ) Mother Vs Children

Angel's Pov

" What .... What do you mean miscarriage ?? " I asked

" Mrs.Hutcherson ... You were six weeks pregnant . " He said

" How ?? I didn't even know I was pregnant . " I asked with a crack of my voice

" Sometimes when women has multiple pregnancies , the symptoms change . And since this was your third pregnancy , your symptoms were delayed which ultimately didn't allow you to see you were pregnant " The doctor

A laid my head into my knees and began to cry . I could feel Josh wrap his arms around my body.

" I'm so sorry Josh " I cried

He pulled me closer to his body

" Angel its okay . I love you alright . " He said in a calm tone

I didn't reply. I just continued to cry . I lost a baby . I didn't know who he or she was , what she or he wanted to be . I knew nothing .

I could hear the sound of heels entering my room . I wiped my tears and looked up . I seen my mom in the door way .

" Can I speak to you alone Angel ? " She asked

I nodded my head .

" Angel baby are you sure ? " Josh asked

" Yes , thank you honey " I said

He kisses my forehead before exiting the room . He closed the door behind him

" What do you want mom ? If you came to to gloat in my face , you can leave . " I said as I wiped my tears .

" I came to be a mother . I came to tell you I was sorry " She explained to me as she grabbed my hand in to hers

" Sorry is all you have to say ? You have done so much to us and all you to say is sorry ?! " I semi yelled

" I can't go back in the past and change what I've already done . You need to let me be a mom and forgive me Angel . Can't you see that I love you?! I wouldn't be here if I didn't " She said as a tear fell down her face

For a split second , I wanted to believe her .

" How do I know your not just lying to me ?? " I asked

She reached into her bag and pulled out a stack of folded papers . She unfolded them and handed them to me . I read them

" Divorce ?? You filed for divorce ?? Why ?? " I asked

" Because of you. I know I hurt you guys . My kids . I thought this would be the first step in healing . " She responded

" You did this for us ? " I ask

" Yes Angel . I really am trying " She sighed

I reached up and gave her hug

" Thank you mom " I whispered

" You are so welcome " She replied

There was a knock at the door . I watched it open .

It was Colton

" Willa " Colton muttered

"Angel ? Are you alright? " He asked

" Yes I'm fine " I answered
