Chapter 13 ) Sisters At War

Angel Pov

I was beyond disgusted with my mother . She chose a man over her own children . So today I was meeting up with Evelynn to really talk to her about mom and how she did this . As of now , I was at home , putting Brayden down to for his nap .

" Josh ! " I called

He walked into the rooms with Priscilla in his arms .

" Yeah ? " He asked

" I'm about to go to lunch with Eve . I'll be back in a little while alright ? " I explained

He sighed and rolled his eyes before walking out of the room . I put Brayden in his crib then went after him .

" What is your problem ? " I asked

" Cill why don't you go play with Sparkle in the backyard while Mommy and I talk ? " Josh suggested

She ran down the steps .

" You wanna know what my problem is ? " He asked

" Isn't that what I asked ? " I said with a smart tone

" You're my problem Angel . You constantly complained about me never being here and here you are doing the exact same thing . " He replied

" Are you serious ? There is a difference between you and I . You left your family at home for a couple of dollar signs . I am trying to repair my family ! My family lied to me ! How dare you ask me to stay here and just let this happen ?! " I yelled as I felt tears forming in my eyes

He sighed as he pulled me into a hug

" Listen , I'm sorry alright? I just feel like I never see you anymore ever since Colton came in the picture but I can promise you I'll be more supportive as long as you promise to make a little more time for me . " He explained as he looked me in the eyes

I kissed his lips then ran my fingers through his hair

" You are my husband . I'll always have time for you . " I reassured

" Alright , you go meet Eve . Tell her the kids and I said hi . " He smiled

I smiled back before grabbing my purse . I went to the backyard to say goodbye to Cill before getting my car and heading to lunch .

1 HOUR LATER

I was waiting for Evelynn when I felt a tap. I looked up and seen nobody . I shrugged my shoulder than continued to look at my phone . I felt the tap again . I looked down and seen a little boy . He looked to be only two or three .

" Hey there little guy " I smiled

" I can't find my mommy " He said as his voice cracked

" Let me help you " I said

He grabbed my hand and we walked to the front desk of the restaurant .

" What can I help you with Mrs? " The greeter asked

" Yes , I was waiting for my sister to arrive when this little boy came to me and said he couldn't find his mother . " I explained

" Hi buddy . My name is Taylor . What is your name ? " The greeter asked as he looked at the little boy

" Harry " The little boy said as he hid behind my leg

" Hi Harry . I am gonna help you find your mommy okay ? " Taylor said as he extended his hand out to Harry

Harry grabbed Taylor's hand and the two walked towards the back of the restaurant.

" Angel I'm here . " I heard

I turned around to see Evelynn . I smiled and gave her a hug . SHe hugged me back and gave me a kiss on the cheek

" I'm so glad you can make it " I said

" Me too . Its been forever since we hung out " She laughed

We walked back to our table and had a seat .

" So what's been up with you ? " She asked

" Thats what I wanted to talk to you about " I said

Before she could reply the waitress came and took our order

" My name is Roxey and I'll be serving you today . Can I start you with a drink ? " Roxey said

" Yes I'll have a Pepsi " Evelynn ordered

" And I'll have Iced Tea " I replied

" I'll be back in just a moment " She smiled before walking away

" Now what were you saying ? " Eve asked

" I was saying that I want nothing to do with mother anymore . So please don't invite me to anything she will be attending . And I don't want her around my kids either . " I explained

" You what ? What happened? " She asked in a weird tone

" Colton and I went to see mother Saturday for some answers and what she basically told us is that Dad was more important than anything else in the world . " I explained as I wiped a tear from my face

" Here are your drinks and what can I get for you today ? " Roxey intruded

" I'll have the spicy chicken sandwich with extra pickles and a side of fries " I ordered

" I would like the three soft taco meal with grilled chicken , cheese and mild salsa with a side of french fries as well " Eve order

" Alrighty that'll be a 15 minute wait . You guys enjoy your day here " Roxey smiled before walking off once again

There was a moment of silence before Evelynn began to speak again

" She is our mother . You can't just stop having a relationship with her . Without her , you wouldn't be here " Evelynn started

" Excuse me ? She is the reason why OUR brother was separated from us . " I said

I could feel my blood beginning to boil inside of me .

" You are really gonna stop talking to mom over a man you didn't even know existed a week ago ? " Evelynn said as she twirled her hair .

" I can't believe your defending her ! That is no random guy , he is our BROTHER ! He shares our blood and you just sit there like everything is okay . Mom abandoned him bottom line . How would you feel if it was you ? Wouldn't you want someone to fight for you ? " I asked as I slammed my hand on the table

Looks began to make their way to our table.

" Angel stop . Your making a scene " Evelynn whispered

I sighed

" I'm sorry . " I apologized

Our food came and we ate . We talked about the kids , her wedding planning , and a new project I was working on .

" So you're really done with mom ? " She asked

I nodded my head yes'

" I think your making a mistake . I really think you should try and see things from her point of view " Evelynn said

I looked at her with a squint of the eye

" After everything I said , you still don't get it ? " I asked

Before she could reply , I walked away . I was done . At this point I only had my husband , my kids , and my brother .

Author's Note

Chapter 13 is here . Angel finally lost all hope for her family. She has given up on them . Should she ? Or should she fight for them .
