Reader's POV
The blonde turned around. His eyes, a color I haven't seen before in my life, was filled with wonder when his gaze landed on me. I had tripped thanks to my steps toward him being tree roots. He was staring and in a second, began laughing at my embarrassing accident. Before I knew it, I had forgotten all about whatever was happening. I got up, brushed off some dirt and walked towards him when I noticed he had elf-like ears and a fairy near him which was gawking at me. The boy was also surprised by the distance between us suddenly disappearing.
"Hi."
"Hi?" He answered nervously.
Before I could respond, a gunshot was fired right next to my cheek leaving a cut. I suddenly remembered that he was now after me. I reached for the boy's hand and pulled him along running into a barn near the field. Once we were both in, I locked the door behind me, finally calming down.
"What are you doing?!" The fairy yelled at me.
"Not of importance right now... could you both hide somewhere?" I replied.
"Okay," he went behind a hay bale at the same moment the door started banging. I knew I was a test subject but I didn't know what the info was for. The man rudely interrupted my thoughts and smashed the door down. 'Way to make an entrance.' He saw me and dragged me out, his nails scratching and going inside my skin but, I didn't feel like yelling or anything. What is the point of doing so?
But, the scars that were stabbed into me never went away and I knew it would only get worse.
Link's POV
Zelda and I were back at the castle talking to the guards, who were bothering us because of a usual couple of young'ns talk. We both laughed it off because we had no feelings stronger than one of just friends. We were headed to meet in the dining table to eat derive a plan that would send the unkempt Gerudo out of Hyrule's land. After our discussion, Zelda invited me here and told me to head to the guest rooms and choose whichever one I wanted to stay in. I had changed into a sleeveless top and my long blue jeans because of a maid's request of unfortunately not having any other clothes.
I decided to rest and repeat everything that happened in my head. I wanted to believe it was a dream but I knew all of this was too real to claim it as one. It was already midnight and the clock's noise was the only thing keeping me up. I didn't want to sleep anyway because I wasn't even close to tired. Most of the time I had just turned my train of thoughts easily off track but, I couldn't today thanks to (y/n). She somehow had complete control over my heart and that bothered me. I removed my hat and let Navi out, finally giving her a breather. She glared at me while I just smiled at her, trying to keep her calm.
"Link, I almost died from suffocation because of you!" She practically woke up everyone around town but, she did not care one bit because she hadn't even taken out all her anger. She puffed in annoyance as she noticed we were in a room she didn't know.
"Now, can you give me any more of a panic attack after this or what?!" She shook and flew off to the open window behind me.
'Sigh. Now I knew it was going to be a long day tomorrow,' I sighed in despair.
I turned around to see, she had fallen asleep on a leaf that flew in. I drifted off to sleep as well, reminding myself not to get into any more trouble tomorrow.
~Link's dreamland
The girl who told me to hide apparently was trying to keep me away from that guy. She was really afraid when trying to keep a stoic face for me. If she were to speak her emotions, she would be crying waterworks while screaming until her voice no longer existed. I, without anyone one of them noticing, started secretly following them without knowing the proper circumstances. A feeling which proved to win against wanting to listen to what she had said earlier.
Her eyes, usually a(n) (e/c) hue was a dull color now, giving off only a small glow proving that she was still alive. The man dragging her was ripping through her skin and leaving scars that could kill her but, I'm guessing that wasn't an issue to be fussed over for him.
He finally reached his destination apparently. With an innocent white wall, almost as if hiding the impurities it held inside, there a hell house would lay. I shivered at the thought of what he does in a place that looks so heavenly. I front towards them again and realized he was typing on a mechanic scan for entrance. The strange piece of technology analyzed his hand and got through. I sent Navi to follow him as I would stay here as a watchdog.
Navi's POV
Link waved a signal and I hid in the girl's hat to make sure I was unnoticeable. I could hear screeching sounds coming closer with each step as I realized we were in a testing facility where you'd see animals die right in front of your eyes. I may not look like it but, I am a little kid at heart so, I was definitely traumatized the moment I peeked my head out to see gears covered with gore.
I scribbled a letter quickly to Link and noticed an open window, I quietly motioned for a blue jay outside. It flew to me and I tied a letter to its foot showing a small picture of Link so it would recognize its recipient.
In that time, I managed to lose track of the young girl. I looked around and tried to search for either (e/c) eyes or (h/c) hair, but there was no sign of it. Then I picked up more rocks and threw them at what looked like the main gears causing them to screech as oil spilled onto the path. I hid and covered my ears as I hissed at the noise. 'I didn't know it was going to be that loud.' The man from earlier returned but only, it was without her.
"Stupid crows. They're going to make me lose my mind," he grumbled furiously. 'Judging by his face, this isn't the first time it happened,' I head towards where he came in from and saw that the girl was trapped behind iron bars. Her gaze was trapped in a forever downward look and her arms were covered with the same scars and new carvings of some kind scattered all over, only covered by the blood that spilled over. Her hat was now on the floor and a necklace shaped in a heart coated with dry tears and a mysterious indigo liquid was out of hiding and rested in front of her shirt. I gasped.
This girl looked so innocent. Next to her was a number of drugs in vials, they were labeled with words I didn't know and they had been completely emptied out. Blood was also dripping from the corners of her mouth.
I only knew this girl for a while and observed her wounds carefully. She held a single sheet of paper in her hand that read of her parent's adoption of her and her biological connections signed a contract to be able to do as they wish in an experiment with her body. She must have felt hated and betrayed when she read that. I headed out to meet Link again and found him on his knees.
Hello, dear light of our future,
Let it be known that this is a factory where animals are slaughtered and humans are tortured for what they believe is the sake of mankind as a whole. That girl is likely cursed by their toys already. Her only use is a drug tester, what could be worse than that, right? Her biological parents saw no worth in her and signed a contract that could potentially kill her. So this is not considered illegal. She can rely on no one.
You will be seeking a fate worse than death if you choose to disobey. Soon, you will need to kill her in exchange for the world to live on. This is a warning, do not play family. Lie to her, hate her, destroy her heart and turn her into a slave who will literally be the living dead.
I know you and your little fairy friend were following him. The closer you get to her, the more happiness she will feel. Then, you can destroy that trust and make her feel unbearable pain. The only escape she would have is to commit suicide or curse everyone around her. It is your choice.
Love <3,
A witness to your betrayal and crown__________________________________________
Suprise~
That took longer than I thought because I'm slowly running out of ideas. Warning, it might go past the boundaries I planned to have. Don't forget to RRR. Thank you all for staying with me this long!
