A/N

It has been quite a while...
I know of the new breath of the wild game that came out on nintendo switch but because I don't have any money, which means the some that I have can barely support me in my daily life, I have to pass up the chance. That doesn't mean I'm any less of a fan as I was for this game, I just wish I could keep up.

Anyways, thanks to the aftermath of some troubles, I had to hold back on my other stories too so just a warning for my entire page.

Reader's POV

I wasn't scared, frightened or depressed at the moment. Just astray, shattered, lacking a proper soul and completely missing out on the fun that was laid down as a trap by him. Finally, maybe my soul would tell me to give up and let this hollow shell of mine break open releasing all of my regrets that I wouldn't be able to hold back on anymore.

I knew what Link was hiding.

There was no question about it...

It's not like it was expected but I knew that there was no way that everyone would make it out without losing a piece of something. Absurd. Why question my group when I knew undoubtedly a particular part of my life was only a prophecy. I wanted to deny the fact he was no longer there but, it was distinct. Dark Link wanted this as well for the sake of his shadow and curse filled world.

Unfortunately, that meant I would let loose or something according to what Sorata told me. I turned my head away from Link's shoulder and silently cried. Why end this way? Couldn't I be someone of use? Not a burden?

I hated it, it was as if I was the damsel in distress who refused to do something myself but, unlike her, I wanted to try working through to beat the evil but I knew I would never get any results either way. Maybe that meant I was worse...

I hesitantly pushed Link away from my body and he noticeably flinched. I stood up and decided that this was the best.

"What are you crying about? We have to go and save Hyrule again Link!", I was going to pretend that Sorata never existed.

"Yeah...", his voice was a barely above a whisper and his eyes looked at me with the look of pity I despised.

"Hey, you look like you just saw me get run over. Everything alright?", I asked with a joking laugh.

"I'm... fine", he dried his eyes with his hands but I quickly stopped him.

"Here, whatever this is about, I can help you with it.", I held out a handkerchief as he stared at me with wonder.

"Thanks", he took the clean cloth and turned his face away almost as if saying 'please don't look'.

"You're welcome", I silently listened to his wishes and kept myself from commenting about his state, afterall, I wasn't any better with my eyes waiting to explode waterworks.

I calmly put a hand over my forehead and remembered what he had just done sneakily. The silence was comforting for the moment and I held myself back from blushing before asking him about... that.

"Um, you didn't mean anything by the kiss right?", I embarrassingly held a hand over my lips.

"Ki-?", he sounded as if he was going to question me back but recalled the sudden action.

"W-well, I-"

"All right, you two lovebirds, we don't have any time to be a wastin' so hurry up and get going!", Navi interrupted Link as she smirked at me.

"H-huh?", if possible we synchronized and both blushed as brightly as the sun.

"No more delays!", she hurriedly brought Epona to us and pat his saddle.

"Last one on is a rotten moblin!", she yelled and I quickly jumped on.

"Eww, I smell the moblin in a certain elf boy~", I joked along with her hesitantly changing the subject and she seemed to be holding in a fit of laughter.

"More like a redead", she chuckled and his face froze in horror.

"Don't tease him like that!", I pouted and his gaze focused on me instead.

"But, it'll be boring, (y/n)", she encouraged.

"I guess, um wait! I mean!", I wanted to take back my words until Link began to smile and laugh with us.

Maybe, just maybe I can forget and be happy with this group.

'Sorata... Thank you for your concern but I'm not so weak", I got lost in my thoughts easily and only held a sad smile in response.

"Let's go", Link had already jumped on Epona, now holding the reins of his beloved horse.

"Let's move Epona", he gave the horse a little pat and as a response, their pace quickened from a trot to a full out run.

"I'm sorry", my voice cracked as I recalled every moment in my break downs where I despised people trying to comfort me.

"Huh? Why are you apologizing?", Navi asked and Link turned around and back but not before nodding to show that he had similar thoughts.

"I pushed you away any help from you and started yelling which probably... No, definitely startled you", I replied and held a frown that I tried to express my sorry through.

"Well, that's true but...", she and Link turned to face each other for a moment and focused her gaze on me again, "I wasn't thinking at that moment and it was rude of me to pressure you into talking about yourself".

My eyes widened as she bowed to remind me of her acts.

"No, no! It's nothing like that... I just, uh. It's my fault, if only I considered this", I was confused and on the contrary Link started to chuckle.

"You didn't know anything, it's okay", her smile filled me with guilt as I could only stare at the saddle I sat on (and that sweet ass in front of yo-*ahem* I mean Link).

"Thank you", I seriously considered trusting them, I wanted to tell them what I saw but they wouldn't believe me so it didn't matter.

"You look like you have something else to say? Wanna let it out?", she worriedly asked.

"Are you okay?", Link added.

"I'm fine" (and that's what they all say so we know something is definitely wrong~)

"If you say so", Navi let out a sigh but Link looked as if he had wanted to question me a bit more though he said nothing in response.

The uncanny silence with only the dropping of Epona's hooves blended with the lonely scenery. The sky constantly reminded me there was nothing free and this world was strapped to chains.

"-aven", I quietly whispered without knowing my eyes had tired out as I leaned on Link's muscular back.

"Who is that?"

I started this chapter during the last week of exams but only finished now so it's obvious I lost my previous enthusiasm. Although I say that, I constantly remind myself that this book had the most views even when I see that the people who read this could just be continually reading through the series and not actually like my writing at all... I sincerely apologize. I keep you all constantly waiting for an update that I almost never seem to have prepared any more.

There seems to be no relevant problems too troublesome at the moment so I don't think my passion will end just like this... At least not soon, so please continue reading, reviewing and rating as I sincerely thank you for your continuous reviews from the beginning and hopefully a soon end to this happiness deserving story.
