Link's POV

"I should've known," I mumbled to myself.

"Known what?" Navi asked out of confusion.

"Someone else was following us," I handed the paper to her as she read it quietly.

"Then what about my letter?" I returned the same look.

"I sent a blue jay earlier," if my eyes were not as wide as they were now, they would have been twice the size now. I remembered spotting the familiar bird shot down by an arrow, landing suddenly into a thicket of bushes.

"Someone else might have taken it," I commented on the possibility.

"Then who?" I growled in direction of the crowded forest and if looks could kill, I hoped he would have died a few seconds ago.

"He must still be around here, I mean no one is that fast to get past the border, he has to be around. I lost the girl too and she was beaten by that man," Navi warned.

"We don't know the situation still. She might really be the one in the wrong," at that, Navi had become enraged.

"Link!" she pointed a finger at me.

"Believe me, if this girl was really so evil or had no heart then she wouldn't have cared about her parents. She was adopted and her real parents hated her. Don't just assume! You need to save that girl before it is too late!" She was trying to breathe after that harsh scolding.

I felt this way from the start anyway. Even though I didn't know her, my heart and instincts were telling me to help her.

"Ok, where is she?" Navi smiled in satisfaction and guided me to a window that could've she left open.

"Inside. Before you go in, don't be surprised," I nodded and quietly jumped through. I saw her body lying limply in front of me and held a gasp.

I wandered closer to her and among the first thing I noticed was her broken appearance. Her eyes were shut tightly, scars covered every spot, and blood openly spilling from her torn body. I shifted her chin up slightly and saw the same liquid dripping from her lips, the result in a constant form of screaming. I brought my hand over the lids of her eyes and carefully revealed the lifelessness within them. They unconsciously rolled, turning its stare towards at a heart-shaped necklace on the floor, I opened it very carefully as if it was going to break and saw an older woman, probably around her 20s with a man in his 20s too and in the middle a girl with (e/c) eyes. She was crying and smiling at the same time as it was the best moment of her life. In fact, it seemed contagious as I smiled through the tears of pity.

I reached for her body and threw her over my shoulder and ran to the window, it was closed and Navi was now gone. I turned around and saw the man that had dragged her earlier, I ran towards the exit door, locked.

"Did you think you could save this girl?" I clicked my tongue and glared at him as if he was the most annoying piece of trash.

"She'll be under my control and no one can help her, not even the princess," he started laughing like a maniac as my eyes searched around for a blue light. I spotted Navi and grabbed my sword heading for a wall. The man looked at me as if I was insane but then saw a bomb in my belt, his face remained calm and I threw it, boom... (so anti-climatic)

The smoke cleared and it was, still there... 'An anti-explosion wall. When was this a thing?'

"Are you serious?" He said and raised one of his eyebrows.

"You really think you can get away?" I nodded my head and he frowned.

"Hmm... You know what? Sure, Not much left to her life span anyway," he snapped his fingers and the door opened. To his action, I was left immensely confused that he let me go easily until I heard her breaths go deeper and rushed. Whatever he did, she might die in the process of escaping.

I ran out the door before he could pull a trap if he was even trying to. When I reached the outside of town, I spotted a guard. I walked up to him and whispered in his ear, he let me pass and pointed to the direction of the castle. Without looking back I ran towards it and jumped over the gate, 'Why didn't I think of jumping over it before.'

I saw Zelda in one of the gardens and I started walking to avoid suspicion. She turned her head and saw me carrying (y/n), she looked like she had seen a ghost but then looked normal once again.

"Come, she needs to be treated immediately," she spoke and rang the bell for special service. As soon as I got into the room, my body became transparent and so did (y/n)'s. And we disappeared into thin air but, not before I saw him.
