Chapter 3- Back to normal?

                                              Riley's POV
      We all returned back to New York. Maya came through my window and she sat by me. 
                          "Riley I h-" She started saying.
I interrupted, "So you guys are a thing now?" I put on a fake smile.
                          "Riley stop. I know that's a fake smile, I want you to be happy and not a let a boy ruin our friendship. If you want Lucas, then have him. I don't really care, because it's your decision." Maya replied.

                          Then suddenly Lucas came on the window. "Lucas?" Maya and I said together.
                          He sat by me and asked Maya, "Oh so you don't care?" He frowned and put on a worried face.
                          Maya laid her face on her hands and said, "I just want Riley to be happy."
                          "Maya you don't have to." I said and walked out of my room.
                          "Riley!" Maya shouted and followed me. I teared up and ran away from her. 
                          Maya's POV
Lucas pulled me back. "Just let her go. I think she needs some time alone." He said.
                          "Lucas I can't be with you. I'm sorry but Riley is more important." I said and walked out of the Matthew's house.
                          I ran to chase Riley.
                          Lucas POV 
I messed up. 2 lovers. 1 boy. I can't choose. Riley likes me, Maya likes me.
                          I walked out of the Matthew's house, too and walked to school. I really need to fix things up....no relationships is better. 
                          Maya's POV
I chased Riley until she had a dead end on the girl's bathroom at school. She came to hug me and I hugged her back.
                          "Why did we let this happen to us?" Riley asked as we pulled away.
                          "I don't know. I broke up with Lucas, and you can go to him if you want. I realized I don't need boys in my life. But I do need a best friend by my side." I replied.
                          Riley wiped away her tears and smiled. "It's ok Maya. I also realized that too, and for sure now, that I'm over him. But are you?" She asked.
                          "I don't know, Riles. But that's out of my mind now." I murmured.
                          "Ring power?" I said.
                          "Thunder and lighting. Together forever." We both said together.
