The peachy orange dress sat snuggly but not to tight on my chest. There was a tiny black belt around my waist. And from the belt down the dress flowed out. I hate orange. Why is my maid of honour dress orange??
Payton knows I hate orange... The bridesmaids dresses are to die for. They were a bluish teal color and I wished that mine could look like that. Maybe I could convince Payton to change the colours. But the wedding is in three days.
It's one day you have to wear orange. Get over it Alice! Do it because it makes her happy. I told myself in my head.
I glanced at myself one more time and shook my head in incredulity. Pulling the curtains back caught Payton's attention and she looked up from her phone to me. I gave her a shy smile and turned around in a little circle. She gave a nod of approval and went back to texting (guessing Cody). Gee thanks bestie for your approval I thought as I drew the curtains closed again. I couldn't get the zipper down....shit.
"Payton!" I called but received no answer.
"Payton I can't get the zipper down! " I yelled again but she didn't answer. Where the hell was she? Suddenly the curtains were drawn back and I sighed in relief.
"The zipper is stuck please help me" I dragged my dark brown hair over my shoulder and fingers lightly touched my bare back tenderly. I shivered as goosebumps formed on my skin. Slowly the zipper went down and I frowned. This is a very sexual way to unzip someone. I didn't turn around when the person was done- I assume that it is not Payton. I also assume it's a guy since the way they unzipped me.
"You're beautiful" he said and the voice was familiar...too familiar. I turned and looked into the eyes of Isaac.
I didn't move away from him and he found it amusing.
"What are you doing in here?"
"Your welcome " he winked at me.
"Isaac..." I muttered as he slowly backed me up the wall....wow this escalated quickly. My back thumbed lightly against the wall of the changing room.
His hands were by my sides and I felt the warmth from his skin through my dress. We both started leaning in and my hand went up to his face, our lips just touched when someone shouted.
"Alice!" I heard Payton, Isaac moved his head away but he still held onto my waist. And my hand was still holding on this his jaw.
Our eyes met and it was like something connected. Something inside us clicked, butterflies fluttered in my tummy and I smiled softly. My dimples forming.
"Alice get your ass out here right now. We have things to do!" She yelled again and this time we both moved away from each other.
"I want to do that again" I whispered suddenly. Isaac looked at me shocked and with a red face I slipped past him and out of the room. Payton stood at the end of the hall and tapped her foot impatiently.
"Why do you still have your dress on?! Alice stop fooling around!" She yelled and I looked down only to see the orange dress still on me. I blushed more and ran back to the booth, but I slipped into the one before the real one seeing as Isaac was still in the original one.
"Isaac!" I whispered and peeked over the booth wall. He was still standing there with that same shocked look.
"Alice?" He asked and looked up at me.
"Can you give my clothes please" I pointed to them and he handed them over. Unfortunately my black lace bra fell from the pile and landed by his feet.
He picked it up and held it in the air smugly.
"Size C...hmm Alice I am not disappointed" he winked and gave it to me.
"It's not to slutty for you?" I joked and he laughed.
"It's a bit kinky yes, being lace and all" and winked at me. I giggled.
"ALICE!!" Payton bellowed and I rolled my eyes.
"See you later Isaac" I mumbled and dropped to the ground.
And while I was dressing one thing kept running through my head.
Did we almost kiss. Did I almost kiss Isaac Hills? Did I want to kiss Isaac Hills?
Oh hell I did. I wanted to kiss kiss bad. I wanted him to slam me into the wall and kiss me like he means it. I'm fucked. I am so fucked.
