We were already at the airport when my phone rang. It was Isaac. I declined the call and gave the girl my ticket. She smiled and told me to enjoy my flight and that it was due to leave shortly.
Iris was furious and I was not surprised. She was very protective over me and I loved her for it. She was my defence when I couldn't stand.
My eyes were itching with tears but I refused them to fall.
A robotic voice told us our flight to New York was going to depart and we stood. We were lucky the next plane to New York was two days from now. We just managed to buy two tickets in time.
I was about to step though the doors when I heard him call my name.
"Alice!!" He shouted I turned and saw him running and dodging people. He was still in his tux and his tie was loose around his neck.
"Lady are you waiting for him?" The guard asked.
"No. I don't know who he is. He must be calling someone else. I thought it was me, but I'm wrong" I smiled at him and he was about to let me through.
"Wait stop her!" He called and the guard stopped me.
"Lady?" He said.
"I don't want to talk to that man" I told him and the guy nodded and took out a megaphone from nowhere.
"The lady doesn't want to talk to you!" He said through the thing and everyone heard.
"But I have to explain!" He shouted "Alice just let me explain"
I took the megaphone from the guard.
"I don't want to hear it Isaac!"
"But I love you!" He yelled and a few people awed.
"No, you love Georgia. I heard it. Go run back to her. I am not falling for your tricks" I said and gave the magephone back and marched to the aeroplane. He won't get past the guard.

I fell asleep. I can't believe I fell asleep. Normally I have trouble sleeping on planes.
I woke up just as we were about to land. Iris was gripping the seats and I chuckled. She hated flying as I said especially the taking off and landing.
"I hate flying"
"I know" I chucked.
"I hate you for making me fly" I laughed at that.
"Nah you love me" she rolled her eyes.
"And I hate Isaac Hills more than anything" she growled and my smile dropped.
"Sorry, shouldn't have mentioned him" she apologizes and I waved her off.
"I should never have gone to that wedding" I hissed as the planes wheels bumped.
"Agreed. The food was nice"
"Why am I not surprised?" I chucked. This time we were first to get off, since our seats were in front. It was a bit expensive but Iris getting a lawyers pay it was okay.
We got to the apartment tired and hungry. I cooked up some noodles and made some tea. Then we sat on the couch and talked for a few hours like we did at college.
"Are you going to be alright?" She asked as we made our way to bed.
"I'll be fine. Tomorrow I'll go to work Jane will give me an overload of homework in which I can busy myself" I said and she nodded.
"I'm here if you want to talk" she offered.
"I'm not ready to talk yet" I said and she gave an understanding smile.
"Still I'll be here" she patted her shoulder and I smiled a real smile.
"Thanks Ris. You're the best."
"Night Al""Night Ris" I closed my door and crawled onto bed and fell asleep. I dreamt of Isaac that night. Of course I would.

The next morning I arrived at school bright and early. okay maybe not bright or early. The headmistress saw me and I walked over to her.
"Alice? I was only expecting you next week" she said and I nodded.
"I know. I came early" I didn't say much she was a terrible gossip.
"Oh dear what happened?" She asked.
"Got home sick" I shrugged and walked to my class.
"Be quiet and sit down!" I yelled and forty five pairs of eyes stared at me bewildered.
"Miss. Woods I missed you. Did you miss me?!" Daniel Hills called.
"Mister Hills be quiet will you. I have had enough of the Hill brothers" I sat down and he came up to my desk.
"Was my brother a bit to rough in bed miss?" He wiggled his eyebrows.
"No. You're brother is a pig that is all" I hissed and he raised a brow but sat down anyway.
"Now open your English books and pay attention" I jumped into work and gave them all an essay to wright for the class. I need work for tonight. I have to bury these feelings in coffee and work.
They handed in their essays and left as the bell rang. And for the first time in my teaching career. I wished the time would slow down.

I got home and Iris wasn't here. She's probably at Max's place my suspicions were confirmed when I saw the sticky note on the fridge.
Looks like I'm alone tonight and I was grateful for it. I put on some music on full and started doing work.
It was half past one when I went to bed. To tired to do anything let alone think of Isaac. My phone beeped and I checked.
The it missed calls and twenty five texts. All from Isaac. I cleared them all and deleted his number. I need to move on from this.
