Chapter 4 "Im sorry"

Dipper paced the attic floor,as you stood there in confusion.

"Does he know about Bill too?"was all that crossed your mind.

Giving a deep breath in,Dipper stopped in his tracks,facing his back to you.

"Where do I start?I don't know how she'll take it."He mumbled under his breath.

"Well why don't you start with the triangle?"You spoke up.

He turned to look at you surprised, but calmly spoke.

"Well alright.The triangle is a dream demon that goes by the name of Bill Cipher.He's a manipulator and devious and pure evil!"Dipper spoke angrily and dramatically.

You felt that the anger came from something that Bill must've done,but you didn't question it.

"I'm sorry for not telling you earlier." He then blurted out."I didn't want you to feel frightened and become a possible target."

You walked over,embracing Dipper into a warm hug."I understand." You answered,as you could feel him hug back.

You both released,laughing a bit afterwards."I guess I can be a bit too paranoid some times."He admitted.

"You're darn tootin right!"Mabel barged in.

"M-Mabel!"Dipper yelled embarrassingly.

You all laughed together.The feeling of happiness once again,could be felt inside your heart.

It was getting dark out by now,and you all had been chatting away about tween nonsense.

"So (y/n)?Did Dipper-"

"Yes Mabel,I did."

"Oh,goody!Because I've wanted to talk about our awesome adventures we've been on but I didn't want you to be confused or scared so I couldn't,but now I can!"She rambled on.

You laughed a bit from her response, glancing over at Dipper to see him looking down nervously.

"Is something wrong Dipper?"You asked concerned.

"Uh,ya...Have you...met,Bill yet?"He stuttered a bit.

You felt your heart start to beat nervously,as if an urge to lie,grew within you.You remembered about something Bill said,that the urge of wanting the journal was all his doing.
It started to make you think,was this, too,all him?

"(y/n)?"

"Um...does he have a...uh...human form,per say?"

Dipper and Mabel exchanged looks before shrugging their heads no.

"Sorry,I have no idea."Dipper responded."But,did it resemble the picture in the book?"

"Well,to tell you the truth-"You felt yourself freeze with fear,as if not wanting to finish the sentence.

"What?"Mabel asked confused.

"I don't think I saw a floating triangle."
You blurted out.You felt nervous,as Dipper was starring you down.

"But that man you mentioned-"

"He just wanted to know where the Northwest mansion was.He was a guest there.I just told him I was new here and he went on his way."You continued to lie.

Dipper nodded in agreement.

"We'll have to inform you about...you know."Mabel spoke,nudging Dipper's elbow.

"His deals?"

"Duh!What else?"

"R-Right.Uh,listen.Him being a demon and all,he also tends to trick people into deals."He swallowed nervously. "Foolishly,I too,made a deal with him."

Your eyes grew wide,as you felt more intrigued.

"He was suppose to help me with something but instead,he possessed my body."Dipper spoke.There,you could here a hint of sarcasm in his tone.But somehow,you believed him.

"Ya,thankfully,it helped me dodge a bullet."Mabel teased,as she nervously laughed.

The atmosphere in the room felt tense. Dipper walked over to his bed,sitting on it.

"It's pretty late out.We should go to sleep."He informed.

"Ya.Goodnight."Mabel added,heading over to her bed.

"Ya...night."

You slumped against the wall,not able to fall asleep.The sound of snores could be heard within the room.Other than that,the room laid still.Sighing,you closed your eyes,hoping to at least be able to get some rest.

"Hey.You awake?"

Opening one eye first,a beaming light of yellow blinded your unadjusted (e/c) eyes.

"Bill?"

"Hey!You remembered! I honestly didn't think you would."He spoke sarcastically.

You opened both eyes,able to now see him fully.He was back as a triangle,but you could tell he looked some what happy none the less.

"What do you want?"You asked grumpily.

"What do I want?Easy kid,I don't always want something."He responded.

"Then why are you here?"

"Well,I'm here to congratulate you of course!Im so proud!"He spoke, pretending to wipe away tears.

"What did I do?"

"Well,what didn't ya do!You just lied to your bestie and your bestie's brother! How much more evil can you get!"He laughed.

You started to feel a pain of guilt fill the empty void within you.You hadn't even had time to process about what you had told them.But now that you did,it killed you on the inside.

"I didn't mean to..."

"Ya ya,I'm sure ya didn't.Hey,so about that deal-"

He held onto your shoulders,as you looked at him coldly.

"What's with the look?Oh,I know-"

He then changed into his physical form again,looking at you with a bright, cheery grin.

You glanced away from him,but you just knew he was still starring at you with his big eye.

"What about the deal?"You asked angrily.

"I knew you'd come across kid!"He spoke,wrapping an arm around you.He snickered,floating in the air beside you.

"So,how about this:You give me the journal....and I'll stop showing up."

"No."

"Starting to like me eh?I see..."

You started to blush,looking at him crazed."I never said that!"

"Haha!Calm down kid!No need to get defensive!"

You looked away from him again, feeling embarrassed.

"Well,what if you give me the journal, in exchange for...um..."

"For you to stop calling me nicknames?"

"Ya!So how about it?"

He stood up,looking over at Dipper's journal.

"As much as I'd love to,the journal isn't in my possession anymore.Its Dipper's. I can't give away someone else's thing for my own benefits."You spoke, intelligently.

Bill sighed,looking over at you one more time before vanishing.

The colour returned once more,as you crawled under your covers,and fell asleep.
