"Oh my god, Gerard.  It's fucking perfect!" Frank exclaimed, opening the door to their apartment, eyes widening at the sight.  The couch was black and red, perfect for the awkward white walls and the weird creamy coloured carpet.  The two chairs were black, one leather and the other cloth.  There was an intricately designed mirror hanging over a small fireplace, which held fake wood.  On the opposite wall, an abstract painting was hung.

The windows were big, but not too big.  They were covered with sheer red curtains.  The kitchen had a stove, a refrigerator, and a small island, or bar, with chairs.  The cabinets were regular wood, thank god.

Leaving Gerard, Frank wandered into the bedroom.  There was queen, (maybe king, he didn't know,) sized bed and a dresser, which would hold clothes, along with the closet.  The window was normal sized, but a bit wider.  The black and gold went perfect with the red walls.  Gerard really knew what he wanted..

Moving to the bathroom, Frank noticed the walls first.  They were blue.  Not a dark blue, not a bright blue, and not a light blue, but something in between.  It was pretty, calming..

"Gerard, when did you do all this?" Frank asked, smiling wide.

"A few nights after our incident.  I'd remembered you telling me that you had always wanted to live in Philadelphia.  You said it was your dream.  Sometimes, dreams come true." Gerard smiled too, mainly because he was so happy with Frank's reaction.

Frank beamed at Gerard, speechless.  "It's everything I've ever wanted. The colours, the furniture, the picture, thank you."  Frank fell into Gerard's arms, hugging him tightly.

"Let's unpack, shall we?" Gerard went to get the suitcases from the living room, before hearing a blood curdling scream coming from the back.

"Gerard! Fucking kill it! Gerard! How damn slow are you?! IT'S ON ME! IT'S ON ME! GET IT OFF, GET IT OFF!" Frank screamed, his voice becoming higher.

Gerard instantly knew what it was: a spider.

He walked in to the bathroom, expecting to see something the size of a quarter.  He couldn't help but chuckle as he found Frank  huddled in the corner, hugging his legs to his chest, staring at a spider on the floor.  It was barely visible.  It was a small motherfucker, but that meant nothing to Frank Iero.

Gerard simply stepped on, hearing a small squish, and eating a sigh of relief from his boyfriend.

"Thanks babe!" Frank said, and strutted out of the room.

Two hours later, the lovers were discussing the present, for once.  "This is perfect. I've always dreamed of this. Philadelphia is so beautiful, I swear.  I can't thank you enough, Gee."

"Don't.  Just take it all in, be happy.  Take pride in the fact that you've stuck around long enough to make your dream a reality, a reality some would die for.  You deserve it. Especially after all the shit you went through.  You've been through a lot, and look where you are now.  I'm proud of you, Frankie." Gerard kissed his boyfriend on the top of the head, earning a small smile.

"I just, I don't know.  I can't believe it.  I mean, when I was 15, I never would've thought that I'd even be alive at the age of 18, let alone be living somewhere I've dreamed of.  I figured I would've shot myself by now.  But I'm here.  In Philadelphia, with my fucknut of a boyfriend.  But I love him.  And I love this." Frank giggled, and breathed deeply.  "But  this is seriously amazing, babe.  Thank you.  I love you."

"My pleasure, sugar.  I love you too." Gerard replied.

And he knew for sure, that this is what love was.  It wasn't always about the drugs or the money or the sex or the whatever.  It was simply about enjoying each other, sitting in silence and still being comfortable with it.

This was love.

"I had a new dream and everything was perfect.
The sky is pink, yellow, green, blue, and orange.
And all the past has been forgotten.
And we fell in love.."
