Alex's third person pov

He walked into the forest, not sure where else to go. He was already being followed by more dinosaurs, small green ones that chased and chirped at him. He eyed them wearily. Soon one leaped at him, biting him on the arm. The rest prepared to attack. He knew that if the whole pack attacked him at once, he would not be able to fight them all. When the second one attacked he knocked it to the ground. Then the third attacked, he grabbed it by its long delicate neck and with one swift movement, broke it. He tossed the limp form at the rest of the creatures. Vera looked at him suprised. How could this creature kill with no weapons? She thought, staring at him. Alex screamed in a low voice as loud as He could at the creatures, sending them scattering into the bushes. Alex's posture relaxed, and he noticed Vera following him. He looked at her for a moment. "keep up!" He shouted as he darted into the jungle, it opened up into a mud filled swamp. He jumped from log to log with speed that Vera could barely match as she had to jump over the logs and push through the mud. Soon they were at the other end of the swamp. "Why are you following me?" He asked, exhausted. She just stared back at him. "Do you understand me?" she continued to stare at him. He sighed and walked further into the jungle. Followed by vera.
The trees towered overhead, and beams of light cut through the canopy, lighting the short grasses and mushrooms on the ground. He swiftly passed over the many fallen logs with little effort. Vera followed close behind, though far enough that she didn't alarm him. There was something very strange about this human, he didn't seem scared about being on an island full of danger and away from his home. Instead it seemed....... excited. She couldn't let anything happen to it. And she had to show it to her pack. She had been following it for almost ten minutes now, and she wanted to try to get it to follow her back to her pack. She hoped that they wouldn't hurt it, but she didn't know why. She ran in front of the human and stared at it. "What?" he asked, bringing his hand to the handle of his knife. She turned her head to the direction of the nesting area. "What?" he asked again, bending his legs to be more combat ready. She started to walk in the direction she wanted him to go, she decided it was a him after watching his posture, and the way he showed little fear of his surroundings, though most of all, she could smell it . "you want me to follow you?" He asked. She didn't know what he had sayed, but was very excited when he started to follow her.
They where almost half way to the nests when her pack started calling. They were calling out for help! She quickened her pace, hurrying to her nests to help her pack. Alex was barely able to keep up with her as she rushed through the jungle.
Soon Vera and Alex burst through the last of the jungle and entered a large clearing full of activity. Immediately both Alex and Vera knew what was happening. Oviraptors ran through the clearing, stealing the eggs of the pack. Vera ran for the nearest one and bit down hard on its neck and broke it. The egg in its beaked mouth rolled onto the ground. Vera picked the egg up in her mouth and went back to the nest were it had come from, setting it back down gently. There was only one oviraptor in the clearing, and it was running straight toward Alex, who was running at full speed straight at it. The oviraptor was unaware of the human, and had its head crained over its shoulder, watching the raptors pursuing it. Suddenly Alex jumped forward at full speed, knocking the oviraptor to the ground. The egg was thrown out of the Oviraptors mouth and into the grass. Alex was the first to his feet and jumped on top of the oviraptor. It struggled to get him off but Alex grabbed it by the neck with two hands and when it stopped struggling he used his right hand to unsheath the knife, and with one swift motion sank the knife into its neck.
Blood pooled around the oviraptor as Alex stood up, sheathing the knife and shaking the blood off his hands. The raptors circled him, growling and hissing in a low tone. He was surrounded.
