January 17
One month before Tora pranked Seirin, at Yosen:

A blonde girl bravely slapped the hand of a wandering purple haired giant away from the cookies she had just taken out of the oven. Her club mates gasped in shock. No one every tries to defy the giant from eating their bake goods. The first one who did was threatened with a crushed head. The purple haired giant twitched in irritation.

"Let me eat some or I'll crush your head," he threatened.

"No, Murasakibara-san," the blonde girl said in a defying tone. Her blue eyes stared at him, daring him to go and try. It doubled as a warning of an untold pain she would inflict. "You will not crush my head, nor touch my double chocolate chip cookies until I say you can. They are really hot and needs to be cooled down a bit before they can be eaten. You will burn your tongue and you won't be able to taste anything yummy for a week if you do. We don't want that to happen, Murasakibara-san. Now do we?"

The purple giant obediently retracted his hand from the cookie that he was about to grab.

"Good boy. Now sit and wait for fifteen minutes, Murasakibara-san." The girl pointed to a chair that appeared out of no where. "Then you can eat one."

Murasakibara sat down in the chair.

"'Rumi-chan, we've sent Tadyase-chan to get his friend!" a girl whispered to the blonde female.

"Thank you, Miwa-tan," she replied in relief.

Ten minutes later, a beautiful male came into the Home Ed club room. He saw his purple haired friend waiting patiently while occasionally glancing at a tray of cookies. He was in a stupor.

"Hi Muro-chin," Mursakibara said, staring at the double chocolate chip cookies from the corner of his eye.

"How did you manage to get him to listen to you?" He asked no body.

"Easy." The blonde shrugged. "A little threat here and there, with a promise of a treat. A sweet little puppy like Murasakibara-san is nothing compared to the tigress I'm used to." She turned to Murasakibara. "Five more minutes, Murasakibara-san. You've waited for ten, so you can wait five more."

She faced the boy beauty. "Sorry, can you wait five more minutes? These cookies need to be cooled completely or Murasakibara-san will lose his taste buds for a week."

"Ok." The boy nodded. "I don't want to be at the end of Coach's shinai."

"My sister should have came here. She would have gotten along with your coach extremely well." retorted the girl. She got out a spatula and placed fifteen cookies in a bag. Then she went to the fridge and poured a jug of milk into a bottle. She handed the bag to the purple giant.

"You better hurry and run. Your friend made it clear that your coach has a punishment for you. Twelve of the cookies and the milk are yours, the other three cookies are your friend's. Don't eat them until reach your club, you hear me?"

The giant's purple eyes widened as he childishly nodded his head. "Ok. What your name?"

"Kuroko Terumi. Why?" The girl raised an eyebrow.

The giant widened his eye for a split second at the familiar last name. "Nothing, Ruko-chin."

The girl twitched.

"Let's go, Murasakibara," Himuro said, clearly seeing that the girl was annoyed with his friend's nickname for her. He gave her a wink. "Thank you for keeping him company, Kuroko-chan."

"The nerve of that guy!" Terumi lifted her hands up. "I can't stand boys like him. Arrogant flirts!"

"Ignore them, Kuroko-chan." Miwa tried to calm her friend down. "They won't bother you any longer. After all, it's our last day here in the Home Ed Club. Than it's off to the basketball club! How did you manage to get in anyway?"

Terumi brightened up. "Araki-sensei saw me practicing by myself in my school uniform near the basketball court near my apartment when I got back from winter break. She asked to play one and one with me. Araki-sensei was impressed I dribbled past her defense and blocked most of her shots. She asked for my name and offered me to be in her basketball club. When I gave it to her, she was surprised. My name had been on the basketball rooster all year."

"But isn't the basketball club she coaches is for boys?" Miwa gave her a bespectacled look. "Wouldn't the Basketball Association be against it?"

"Normally, but I'm a 'special' exception," replied Terumi. She grabbed a new paper bag and packed the remaining cookies into it. "They know of my skills and know that me playing against other females is dangerous, so they literally banned me from playing in any 'female only' tournament until college. Something about mental health and stress issues. That is a story for another day. Let's finish cleaning up. I'm suppose to drop by during the last hour of basketball practice."

"Kay." Miwa handed Terumi a wash rag and they started cleaning.

"Gather around!" A mature woman yelled to her lazy students. "I have news for y'all. I've recruited a new player, or rather, found our missing recruit! She should be here-"

"Araki-sensei, sorry I'm late!" Terumi burst into the gym with Miwa. "Someone spread the word out that I was baking, and we had to run for our lives!"

"The Home Ed club was in a catastrophe!" Miwa added, exclaiming. "Students came flooding out of no where! Literally out of no where!"

Terumi furiously nodded with agreement. "Our friends had to hold them back to let us escape through a window!!!"

"Never mind the window!!!" Miwa exclaimed. "The Home Ed club was on the third floor!"

"..." The entire basketball club of Yosen could only stare at the girls in amazement.

"Kuroko-san, thank you for coming." Araki said. "Everyone, this is Kuroko Terumi, a returnee. She is a basketball player that many high schools have been trying to obtain since while she was in middle school here in Japan before she fell under the radar in the U. S. Kuroko-san is one of the few students who have been granted a scholarship to Yosen. She will be on the first string. I expect you to treat her with respect. Or else I'll bunk you on the head with my shinai!"

Half of the club rose with anger and confusion. They were clearly against Terumi joining them.

"Why should we?!" complained a second-year. "She is a girl. I bet she is really weak  and doesn't know a thing about basketball!"

"Hey! Don't say mean things about 'Rumi-chan!" Miwa yelled at him.

Araki bonked him in the head with her shinai. "Do you know what she can do? You haven't even played against her!"

"I have a suggestion, Coach." A familiar voice said. "Why don't you let her play against someone?"

"Good idea, Himuro!" Araki praised. "Kuroko-san, why don't you play this idiot who just insulted you?"

Terumi's normal cheerful, bubbly attitude froze. Her light sapphire blue eyes hardened like real gems. They gleamed with anger. Miwa took a step back away from her. Most of the boys shiver up in fright. Someone stopped munching in the background. Araki grinned with glee. The air turned fifty degrees colder.

"Gladly." She took a ball and spun it on her pointer finger. "Captain will forgive me this once. He will not stand your being rude to me. I'll show you why they call me a piercing Sunbeam. First to shoot twenty points wins. I will not let you shoot one point. I may be small, but I'm the best at defending."

True to her words, Terumi blocked every shot the boy attempted. She simply smacked the ball away from him as if it were a pesky mosquito. She tired him out before she started shooting baskets herself. Needless to say, Terumi won the game, 20 to nothing.

"I'm offensive in my defense." Terumi smirked at the defeated boy. "Thank you very much, Araki-sensei. I will see you next week. Let's go Miwa."

They left the gym, leaving flabbergasted boys to ponder and reevaluate what just happened.
