"It's a miracle he remembers," the paramedic told me as they packed up their things. "It looked like a case that he wouldn't get it back. I'm happy for you."

"Thank you," I smiled nervously.

"Just keep icing his head and foot, he should be fine. Just some bruising and a minor concussion."

"Thanks again," I said.

The paramedic nodded and left. Justin was laying on Scooter's couch with an ice pack on his head. I sat beside him and he laid his head on my lap. I ran my fingers through his hair and he looked up at me, a smile across his face.

"What?" I giggled.

"I'm just so happy I remember you," he said.

"Me too," I smiled.

"I love you and I'm sorry for everything," Justin sat up and faced me.

He placed his hand on my cheek, "you've been here through all of the shit we've been through and I'm so so so grateful you stayed." He kissed me. I held him close to me as I kissed back. I felt weak. We snuggled on the couch.

"You two are just too cute," Alfredo laughed. "Justin your mom is on her way over."

"Okay," Justin said.

I had my head on his chest and I heard his heart beating, something I missed so much. His body was warm and I felt so happy inside. When Pattie showed up she gave me a long hug before going over to Justin and hugging him as well.

"I'm so happy for you guys," Pattie said. "This makes me overjoyed."

I smiled and Justin nodded.

"I'm grateful," he slid his arm around me.

We all sat in the living room and talked for a few hours. Justin fell asleep and Scooter and Alfredo walked me out to my car.

"He's really happy Lizzy," Scooter said.

"Thats good," I smiled slightly.

"You just don't seem to be very happy," Alfredo told me.

"Its hard for me. I went from the girl he loved to some fan to the person he's grateful he remembered. I'm the only one he forgot and it's just so hard to go through this roller coaster of emotions. Trust me, I'm there for him no matter what. I love him. But I'm just trying to wrap my head around all of it."

"I get it Lizzy," Scooter said. "It's not easy and we don't expect you to jump right back in with him. Take your time. Do your own thing."

"Sorry if I disappoint you, I went six months knowing that he didn't love me. It's not easy to love someone through all of that. But I did and it exhausted me."

Alfredo and Scooter hugged me.

"We appreciate you for taking such good care of him," Scooter said. "We know it was extremely difficult. But just take your time. You guys will work all of this out eventually. I know it'll take some getting used to."

"Part of me feels like it'll never be the same," I opened my car door and sat down inside. I rolled down my window after starting my car.

"And it may never be the same," Alfredo said. "But it's worth a shot."

I shrugged and waved weakly. "I'll see you guys soon."

They waved. "Take care of yourself," Alfredo said.

"Let's get together for Sunday dinners, that way all of us stay in touch." Scooter suggested.

"Perfect," I smiled. "See you guys Sunday."
