Chapter 28: Locked

We walked out of the elevator. "We get a new floor right?" Jerome asked.

"Oh yeah, I think so." I replied.

Herobrine appeared in front of us. "Sorry to disappoint you, and cause you despair... But no new floors!" He smiled. "Ever!"

"Aw." Bash sighed. "I thought we would get an award."

"Nope!" Herobrine smiled. "Happy despairing!" He disappeared.

We went to the mess hall. It was really empty now. With only six Minecrafrers remaining, but if you count Sukio, seven are remaining. "So um... What do you guys think is gonna happen now?" Jerome asked.

"I don't think any of us will murder." Brice said hopefully.

"Welllll..." Bash sighed. "Sukio might. He is a serial killer after all."

"I still can't believe that we're living with a serial killer." Quentin chuckled.

"Yeah, it is pretty unbelievable." Seto agreed.

"And we'll know who it is if it's Sukio too, 'cause Sukio loves getting things perfect. Especially his kills." Bash informed.

"Well, that's some good info." I said.

"Yep." Bash nodded.

We sat there in silence for a bit until Jerome spoke up, "Maybe we can explore the sixth floor. Only Jason did so far."

"Yeah!" Brice smiled. "Sounds good!"

We went up to the sixth floor. We wandered around for a bit. "Why's there locked doors?" Jerome tried to open the door to the Study Room.

"Is that why Herobrine added the rule that you're not allowed to open locked doors?" Brice asked.

"Yeah." I replied. "I tried to wedge a pen in one of the locks and Herobrine flipped out."

"But we're in a mansion with no escape, of course someone would lock the doors." Seto pointed out. "Then you couldn't snoop in there."

"Ah." Quentin nodded. "Makes sense."

"What do you guys thinks in there though?" Bash asked.

"Probably something that Herobrine and the Mastermind doesn't want us to know." Jerome replied. "It must be something super important."

"Probably." I agreed.

"We still need to figure out who the Mastermind is." Brice pointed out.

"Yeah." Bash nodded.

"It would be hard though." Seto added. "It could be anyone here, or anyone who's dead."

"Well not anyone." Jerome informed. "Before Adam died, Alter said that the Mastermind was still alive."

There has to be another way to get into those rooms... I thought. There has too... I heard a knock at my door. "Yeah?"

"Hey Jason." Jerome greeted.

"Oh, hey Jerome." I opened the door.

"Hey Jason, can you come with me to the library? I want someone to help me look for evidence." Jerome asked.

"Sure." I agreed. "I don't have anything better to do."
