YOUR POV:
Austin took you to the campus club house. It was empty now because it was closed but Austin "had a key" to get in.
Austin:" Alright. Go ahead and ask me anything you want."
You:" Alright. . . Um. Why do you hang out with those guys? Why do you sell drugs? Why do you have a gun? Why were you trying to kill my friends? Just why?"
Austin:" Well I thought we were going to do this one at a time but I guess we can do it your way too."
He smiles. Aw. Look at his smile. And his eyes and his- wait. Snap out of it.
Austin:" I hang out with them because they've been like my brother's since forever. When I was younger I was in an orphanage."
You:" Aw. Poor little orphan Austin."
Austin:" Ha. Yeah. I was pretty pathetic. I didn't have any friends. . . Then I got adopted, moved to a new town, and they were there at school one day and we just clicked I guess."
You:" Okay. . ."
Austin:" I sell drugs because it's quick money. It takes a lot to-"
He stops mid sentence.
You:" It takes a lot to what?"
Austin:" It takes a lot of money to start a singer career."
You started laughing.
Austin:" I knew you would laugh."
You:" Wait, you're serious? I'm sorry. It's just I wouldn't expect that from you."
You start laughing again.
Austin:" Anyway, I have a gun because some of the deals we have can get out of hand sometimes."
You:" Have you ever killed someone?"
Austin:" No. Almost."
You:" So why did you want to kill my friends."
Austin:" I didn't."
You:" Then why did-"
Austin:" Because they would've killed me if I didn't kill them."
You:" I doubt my friends would've killed you."
Austin:" Not you're friends. . . Mine."

AUSTIN'S POV:
You:" Your friends? I thought you said they were like your brothers."
Austin:" They are, but when things get out of hand, none of that matters anymore."
She looks at me confused. I understand why. I realized what I said sounded like complete bullshit.
You:" Okay wait, why did they send you here? You were with me the whole time. You didn't do anything."
Austin:" Exactly. I wasn't with them so I couldn't do anything to prevent Jake getting the shit beat out of him."
You:" But that wasn't your fault."
Austin:" They think it is. . . I don't know what I'm going to do. Obviously they're going to find out sooner or later. . . I'm sorry you have to be in the middle of this. . . Wait, how did you even get in this?"
YOUR POV:
You:" Hey, I'm supposed to be asking you the questions."
Austin:" It's only one question."
You had to tell him. You really liked Austin. But you shouldn't, you don't want to date someone who's involved with this stuff. You didn't want a repeat of Stefan. . . But maybe this time it would be different.

You:" When I was 8, my mom started dating this guy. He was a complete asshole and it pissed me off that she couldn't tell. . . Until one day he tried to rape me, but she stopped him before he could do anything. He got mad and took her somewhere in the car. . . That was the last day I saw either of them. So from then on my brother and I lived with some close family friends. And that's where we found out about drugs. How about that."
Austin:" Did he kill her?"
You:" What?"
Austin:" Your mom. Did her boyfriend kill her?"
You:" Probably, but like I said, that was the last time I ever saw them. We called the police and they never found either of them."
Austin:" Y/n, she could still be alive."
You:" I doubt that. This isn't some fairy tale where good things always happen."
Austin:" Why do you say that? You never know."
You:" I do know. If she was still alive, she would've came back by now. . . But she hasn't. So that's that. I'm done talking about her now."
Austin:" Okay. . ."
You tell him that Danny is your brother and that ever since your mom died you guys have always been there for each other. You told him about how you got started selling drugs, told him about how much Drew pissed you off, but you didn't tell him about Stefan. You probably wouldn't have been able to get it out anyway.
Austin:" Yeah, Drew is kind of an asshole. I had him in one of my classes last year. . . Let's just say it's easy not to like him."
You both laugh. He has the cutest laugh.

AUSTIN'S POV:
She has the cutest laugh. It's so weird thinking about a girl like this. I've never thought of a girl like this before. I'm not gonna lie. She'll be the one who's going to control me. She's already so open with me. Y/n. . . I want her to be mine.
Austin:" Can I ask you one more question?"
She sighs then smiles.
You:" I guess if you really want to."
Was it the right time to ask this question? Maybe I shouldn't, not yet anyway.
Austin:" Never mind."
You:" What the hell? You have to ask me now. You've got me curious."
Austin:" I don't think it's the right time to ask this question."
You:" Maybe it is, but you'll never know unless you ask."
Austin:" I really shouldn't. I don't know how it's going to affect you."
You:" Austin, just ask me."
Austin:" Fine. Fine."
I take a deep breath.
Austin:" I can't. I'm sorry."

She gets up and starts walking to the door.
You:" If you don't ask me right now then I'm going to walk out this door and never talk to you again."
Austin:" That's a bit steep for me not asking you a question." She slowly opens the door.
Austin:" Y/n, are you serious right now?"
She puts one foot outside the door and slowly moves the rest of her body out until only her head is left inside.
Austin:" Okay. Okay. Y/n, will you please go out with me?"
She smiles.
Austin:" Sorry, that sounded really desperate."
You:" That's all you wanted to ask me?"
Austin:" Well. . . Yeah. Pretty much."
You:" Wow."
Austin:" What?"
You:" Don't ask questions you already know the answer to."
Austin:" So is that a no?"
You:" Yes."
Austin:" Yes it's a no or Yes it's a yes?"
She laughs and walks back in the room.
You:" Yes, Austin I will go out with you."
