As soon as the dwarf started to sink, Maria felt no hesitation as she jumped back into the water. This time the water stayed in its place, the creature was still trying to kill its victim. The woman tried to open her eyes while she was underwater, but the clear water stung her eyes viciously. Maria kept kicking her legs with her arms in front of her, searching for Kurog. "I hope you can hold your breath..."

She found Kurog in the bottom of the musky water, and she dug her fingers firmly to the dwarf's clothes. Maria anchored her feet on the sandy floor and pushed the both of them back to the surface. Hisses and snarls echoed over the water. The creature was definitely not happy. The waves became rougher, angrier and they desperately gripped onto the both of them to drag them to the bottom of the bog. The water was strong, but Maria was determined to reach back the dry land. She reached the bank where the rest of the group gripped Kurog and holstered back to safety, out of the murderous water. A harsh hand clamped itself over Maria's foot and started to pull her back into the angry waves. The woman dug her nails into the soft ground. The necklace around her neck started to burn at an incredibly high temperature at a small spot on her chest. The woman bit down to cope with the pain, a groan grew from her throat, and doubled her efforts to stay on the grass. Jenna rushed to grab Maria's shoulder, followed quickly behind by Klaus, but a powerful green lightning blasted from the woman's body to hit Jenna square in her torso, and made her fly backwards to crash into the young pup. Klaus brought the blonde's unconscious body further away from the commotion and stared with wide eyes filled with fear to the horrific scene. A wild growl escaped Maria's lips, and her eyes turned to a inhuman shade of green. Klaus had never seen a more vibrant shade of green in his life.

"How dare you threaten me, swamp creature?" Maria's voice boomed throughout the whole bog and forest near them, and trees leaned away from the power of her voice, who resembled nothing of her own voice. The birds who had been watching them attentively were flying away in a great panic. The waves toned down a little as she grasped the blue woman's attention. The waves left a place in the middle of the water for one single ripple to flatten the surface of the bog. A pale and scaly head emerged from the center with long pale hair that clung to her body, followed by a neck with thicker scales, a strong muscular yet feminine chest, to be followed by a waist that hinted a powerful tail with darker and thicker blue scales, a tail that resembled that of a mermaid. The end of her tail swished around her in annoyance. Her skin was incredibly white, as if she had never seen the sunlight in her life. She had strong features and indescribable beauty. From her looks, she seemed as an ageless goddess, at the time young and carefree while still seeming old and wise. She had eyes with the purest shade of blue, blue like the depth of the ocean, the same blue as her two magical snakes, who twirled around her. Her white lips were curled into an animalistic snarl, as a wolf waiting to pounce upon the squealing rat. She was tall, her tail seemed to be endless as it faded into the darkness of the bog, and slender, with muscles rippling under her skin as she slowly made her way towards Maria.

"You have stolen something from me." She did not open her mouth to speak, yet everyone heard her words as clearly as if she had been speaking into their ears.

"You are not getting him back." Maria rose to her feet with strength that she usually didn't posses, and balled her fists. She stood bravely in the water and followed the creature with a furious glare.

"He had a price to pay. It is his life or yours. Choose."

"No one will die today." Maria defiantly stated, her eyes glowing brighter the more her anger burned.

"If you refuse to pay your debt, I guess I'll have to force it from his hands." The creature swished her tail, and balanced herself in a fighting pose. Her hands rose with her palms opened.
