Chapter 6 :Sakura's New Beginning

As a young pinkette walk down the path towards her village, small branches and leaves crunched beneath her feet. Sakura continued to smile as she arrived at the familiar red gates of her home. "I'm home." She muttered as she walked closer and closer.

Are you ready Sakura-chan?

Of course I can't wait to see my friends again!

That's what you've been saying the whole journey back.

Sakura giggled until she saw Izumo and Kotetsu fast asleep with drool coming out of their mouths. "Are they serious?" Sakura muttered as her eye twitched slightly. "Wake up you bakas!" Sakura yelled as they laughed up into the air before crashing down. "Hey what the hell! Who are you?" Izumo questioned as he got in a sloppy defense position, since he is only half awake.

"I'm surprised you don't recognize me." Sakura said as she crossed her arms. "Wait a minute..Is that you Sakura?" Kotetsu yelled as he pointed a finger towards the young girl. "Yup it's me, it's great seeing you two again, but I have to head to the Hokage's office." Sakura said as she ran through the streets. She realized everything was still same, well except for the paint covering the Hokage monument. "I only know one person who would have the guts to do that." Sakura muttered as she giggled at the amazing prank. As she paused in front of the Hokage's door, she began to get a bit nervous. But she summed up the courage and knocked on the door. "You may enter." Sakura did as she was told. coming in she saw the Hokage looking out the window. "It's good to see you again Sakura." Hiruzen said as he pulled the young girl into a hug.

"Good to see you too Hokage-sama." Sakura said as hugged him in return. "Now that you have returned would you like to now become a full fledged ninja of the hidden leaf?"

"Of course!"

"Very well, you will be joining the orginal class with your friends. I suppose you already know how to get to the academy." Sakura nodded before holding up a handsign and disappeared in a cloud of smoke.

As she walked down the familiar hallways Sakura couldn't help, but get more excited. "This is it." she muttered as she knocked softly on the door. Iruka slid open the door to see the familiar pinkette and he couldn't help but grin. "It's been so long Sakura. It's so great to see you." Iruka greeted as he led her into the room. "Everyone a familiar student is now joining us today." Iruka said as he moved aside to let Sakura take over. Before Sakura could say anything, she noticed a familiar blonde headed knucklehead tied up on the ground. "Naruto?" Sakura muttered as he struggling to get himself out of his binds. "No way.." she heard him mutter before a grin covered his face. "It's you! You're finally back!" she noticed how he had small tears falling down his cheeks.

Sakura grinned before looking back up. "My name is Sakura Haruno! It's great to see you all again!" Gasps of shock spread across the class after Sakura's introduction. Sakura looked around before her eyes landed on Hinata who was crying tears of joy as she held a large smile on her face. However, as she looked at Sasuke she noticed he wasn't as happy as her other two friends were. He looked almost angry that she returned. "It's great to see you again. However, you came back at a bad time since Naruto's prank here is going to make everyone redo the transformation jutsu!" Iruka announced as everyone groaned and yelled in protest.

All the now older academy students lined up as Hinata went over to untie Naruto from his binds. Sakura walked over to them and she was suddenly tackled in a hug. "Sakura-chan." Sakura felt a small tear fall from her eye as she hugged her two friends in return. "We missed you so much Sakura! You have so much to explain." Naruto said as he jumped in joy. "I will! But I also have to go and greet Sasuke." Before Sakura could walk towards him a large hand grabbed her wrist. "That's not a good idea Sakura-chan." Naruto said with a frown.

"Why not. What's wrong?" Before he could reply Iruka began announcing the names of everyone to do the jutsu. "Well talk later. Meet us at the cherry blossom tree."

Just liked Naruto instructed Sakura arrived to see him and Hinata standing by the tree holding each other's hands. "No way did you guys get together?" Sakura asked shocked while pointing at their intertwined hands. "Yup! Isn't that right Hinata." Naruto asked as he gazed at her lovingly. "Now then what happened with Sasuke?" Naruto's smile suddenly turned into a glare as Hinata held his hand tighter. "After you left Sakura. Sasuke was so angry and upset he stopped being friends with us. Being friends with you. He said he doesn't need anyone if they just end of leaving him and breaking their promises." Sakura's eyes widened after Naruto's explanation and she suddenly clenched her fist. "Where is he?" she asked without making eye contact.

"Look Sakura we tried talking to him, but he won't budge." Naruto noticed the dark look in her eye's. "He usually hangs alone on the roof." and quickly Sakura jumped away.

Sasuke sighed as looked out the window with a familiar pinkette on his mind. Suddenly he heard the door slammed open and he looked to see Sakura standing there with a frown. "What happened Sasuke?" she asked as she closed the door. "There is nothing I have to explain to you Sakura." he replied as he turned towards her. "Yes there is! I am your friend Sasuke, I am sorry I had to leav-" Suddenly Sasuke slammed his fist against the wall. "Friend? I don't have any friends. The day you left Sakura you betrayed me. You said you would always be there for and on the day I needed you most you left me! You left me when I was so broken and alone. I couldn't stand to be around Naruto or Hinata because they would just end up reminding me about you!" Sasuke yelled as he glared.

"Like I said in your letter I would explain everything once I returned. Dammit Sasuke just hear me out!" Sakura said as she didn't back down from his glare. "Shut up! You only cared about yourself! You think a simple letter would solve everything?" Sakura began to shake in rage before she closed her eyes. "You only cared about yourself and nothing more!" Sakura clenched her fists enough to draw blood out. "Don't. You. Dare say it was only about me." Sakura suddenly looked up with her Omegan, it was a bright pink with a dark pupil with nine small dots surrounding it.

Sasuke gasped as he looked into her eyes. "I left to control this power I have. I left knowing it was going to hurt you all. I left to protect you guys!" Sakura yelled as tears fell down her cheeks. "This power I have many would do whatever it takes to get it. I couldn't risk them going after you guy's and losing you like I lost my parents." Sasuke was at a loss for words as he watched the girl before him break down.

"S-Sakura I had-" Sakura lifted her hand to stop him. "Exactly you had no idea! You gave up before I could even explain. I thought we were friends." as Sakura was about to walk out Sasuke ran over towards her and pulled her into his chest. "Let me go!" Sakura yelled as she struggled to get out of his grasp. "You're right. I screwed up. I gave up when everything began to go downhill. I am so sorry." Sakura was shocked at hearing Sasuke apologize. Sasuke was never one to apologize. "Let me makeup for what I've done, for you, Hinata and Naruto." Sakura began to cry again as she returned his embrace.

Two souls who have already gone through so much finally being able to have a moment of where they can make things right.

Just to let you know Chapter 7 will be down for editing and it will be up by tomorrow. However, you may continue on since Chapter 8 will be about their exams to become genin.
