Chapter 29: Sakura's New Beginning

*Time Skip*

Sakura POV

Today was the day we have the final rounds of the chunnin exams and I was pretty excited. I was with Naruto and Shikamaru waiting for the fights to begin but I couldn't find Sasuke anywhere. "Hey Naruto have you seen Sasuke?" he shook his head and I sighed.

The new proctor Genma Shiranui came down to arena and explained the rules. Frankly there weren't any rules whoever is the last one standing in each battles wins. "Alright everyone we are now having the final battles of the chunnin exams. We will now call the first battle..Naruto Uzumaki and Neji Hyuga!" I pulled Naruto into a quick hug and Hinata gave him a quick kiss.

As Naruto jumped down my fist unconsciously clenched and unclenched remembering what he did to Hinata. "Sakura-chan are you alright?" I turned to Hinata and gave her a small smile. "Ya Hinata just worried about Naru-kun." she nodded and faced towards the stadium.

Neji and Naruto faced eachother infront of the proctor. Neji smirked. "Any last words Naruto before this begins."

Naruto gritted his teeth and pointed at Neji. "Only what I told you last time...I vow to win!" Neji didn't waist anytime and vain appeared around his pupiless eyes activating his byakugan. He got into his stance bending his knees into the classic Hyuga fighting position.

Genma smirked a little. "Alright let's the first battle of the exams..begin!"

The crowds cheered loudly at the beginning of the first exams. Then it became dead silent impatient to see who would make the first move. Those two just stood infront of eachother neither making a move causing tension to build in the air.

This is gonna be difficult for Naruto Neji has the byakugan and high stainless even better than Hinata's. I thought and kept focused on the fight that had yet to start.

Naruto took off sending kunai and shuriken towards Neji. While doing so he leaped and went towards Neji with a frontal attack. "That baka." I muttered "Frontal attacks won't work on him." Naruto sent multiple punches and kicks towards Neji who easily blocked them.

"Naruto look out!" Hinata shouted from beside me. Neji had flashed behind Naruto, and shoved his fast right smack in the middle of Naruto's chest, and quickly took two fingers and try to stab his shoulder chakra points.

Naruto rolled on the and sighed with a little relief. "Hn. I missed." Neji mocked. "Do you see now? You can not beat me!"

Naruto smirked. "Oh ya! Shadow Clone Jutsu!" many poof a appeared around Naruto which revealed four clones.

I grinned at Naruto's signature technique. You got this Naru-kun!

Neji just smirked. "No matter those clones won't last for long!"

"Ha will see about that!" The clones echoed and in a blink of an eye Neji destroyed every single clone. My eyes widened at Neji and I took a glance at Hinata and Kiba to see them worried for Naruto.

I wasn't surprised for Hinata though she must be sk worried for Naruto since Neji can be so merciless. He was definitely a strong opponent. Naruto created more clones and attacked Neji.

Again Neji destroyed all in one fell swoop and looked at the Naruto in the far back. "Hiding behind your clones since you can't handle me?" Naruto grunted in pain. Hinata gasped since Neji hit Naruto in the same place as her: the heart.

I smirked I mean who wouldn't.

It was just a clone and that definitely surprised Neji as he looked around for Naruto. His eyes widened as he saw the real Naruto incoming from the top with his arm pulled back. "Your going down Neji!"
