You know what ?
I'm not that hurt.
It's her loss. I'm a pretty awesome dude.
Besides, she can kiss whoever she wants. Of course, I thought she and I would be a thing, but I suppose I have to move on.
This whole Cate and Calum shit was not helping me.
This morning I was walking into school with them and they were just giggling and laughing with each other and I was so lucky I didn't vomit everywhere.
At lunch Cate actually ended up sitting with us too.
"Well, you're not hot like you were, but you're okay." Is what Max said, which is probably one of the strangest things I've ever heard.
Annie was there too.
I heard that Ashton was mad at her now too, which is great. She deserves it.
Lunch sucked.
It was filled with Cate and Calum's gross relationship, Steven and Bethany's fake relationship, Max trying to flirt with everyone, and the awkwardness between Annie and I.
-
-"You know, I really am Sorry about you and Annie." Calum said after school while we were playing FIFA at my house.
"It's whatever, I'm kinda over it." I murmured.
"At least your birthday is next week, what do you think you're gonna do?" He asked me.
I shrugged.
Neither Cate nor Bethany did anything for their fourteenth birthday that just recently passed, so I figured no one was really doing anything. Not to mention I can't invite Ashton or Annie because we are all at odds.
"I'm happy for you and Cate." I lied.
Honestly, I hope she fucking makes out with Max, and Calum walks in on them.
"It's not like we're dating." He said, focusing on the game.
"Well, you'd like that, wouldn't you?" I asked.
"I guess." He shrugged.
"What?" I paused the game, "There is no guessing." I turned towards him.
"I don't know how I'm feeling about the whole thing anymore." He said, looking down.
"That's not how you seemed to feel at lunch today." I referred to the times they were laughing and giggling obnoxiously while I was trying to eat my food today.
"I guess I'm just not feeling it anymore." He seemed so relaxed, it was weird. He couldn't get Cate out of his head just a couple days ago.
"THATS GREAT, OH CALUM YOU SLY DOG!!!!" I joked, "So when are you gonna break the news to her?"
"Are you kidding? I don't wanna hurt her or anything." Calum all of the sudden got defensive, "And aren't you her friend? Why would you want me to tell her I don't like her? That would break her heart."
