Cate's p.o.v.
I started walking to Michael's house.
It looks like I'm being forced to go to this party, even though I don't want to.
There were all sorts of cars around his house, and it was so awkward seeing my peers walk all around these familiar grounds that I've lived on since I was like five.
Michael was greeting people at the door.
I saw Bethany with some guys and I was tempted to go and talk to her, but I didn't really have any interest in embarrassing myself.
"Oh hayy." Michael said as I approached him, as if he were a valley girl or something.
"Hi." I said blandly.
"Calum is inside with his friends who are cooler than you, just incase you were wondering." Michael chuckled.
"Shut up." I mumbled. "And I wasn't wondering."
"Okay well you can't stand here, I don't want anyone to run away when they see you." Michael insulted yet again.
"Why am I here then? I didn't even want to come, Michael." I groaned.
"Look, I'm sorry." He said, semi-sympathetically, "please just stay."
I rolled my eyes and walked inside.
"Hey cate. I've been waiting for you to get here." Calum walked up to me, "you need to go."
"What?" I said, taken aback.
"You shouldn't be here. Trust me. Just tell Michael you're sick." He told me.
"Wow. You were the one who yelled at me for saying I didn't want to go. Now you want me to leave? I embarrass you that much? Fine, whatever. I won't talk to you."
"No, Cate." He grabbed my hand and took me into Michael's Dad's office. No one was in there because there was a sign on the door that said "off limits."
This is where we used to go to play truth or dare at night when we were younger. There weren't any Windows, and his parents couldn't really hear us so it was kind of convenient.
"What?!" I asked impatiently, once Calum had closed the door.
"Please listen to me." He told me, "Something bad is going to happen. You can't be here. I can't tell you why. You just have to go."
"I can't believe you're trying to get rid of me. Aren't we like.. together?" I questioned.
"We won't be if you stay here." Calum assured me.
"Okay, so now you're threatening me?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"No." Calum whined, "Look, I know you're mad now, but if you stay, you'll get angrier."
"Sorry to ruin you and Michael's little party, but I'm staying." I grumbled, walking out of the office.
Once I left the room, there seemed to be a lot more people here.
