Michael's p.o.v.

"Now Luke and Bethany like each other, even though they claim it's just a close friendship, I can tell it's different between them." Annie shook her head.

"I know, It's really weird! I figured High School would be interesting, but I didn't really expect that everyone would be falling for each other left and right." I sighed.

Annie had a point, this whole everyone liking each other thing was just uncomfortable.

"I mean, look at them out there." Annie sighed, pointing out my window.

Calum and Cate were just hanging out and laughing at everything they said to each other and Calum would kind of smile and Then Cate would blush and then they would just burst into a fit of giggles.

It was actually really gross.

"What is wrong with them?" I groaned.

I began to walk outside to yell at Calum for being so stupid but I felt Annie grab my hand and stop me.

My heart skipped a beat when her delicate fingers came in contact with mine.

I gulped nervously.

Oh no Michael, not you too.

"You don't need to do that,I'm sure it won't last long." She said to me.

I nodded, my gaze still fixed on her really pretty eyes.

I had almost forgot we were still holding hands until she suddenly let go a bit awkwardly.

The next day Calum and I arrived at school around the same time.

I saw him childishly grinning to himself as he slowly made his way towards me, in a completely different world as he stared out into space, daydreaming.

"How's you and Cate?" I rolled my eyes once he was finally next to me.

"What?" He turned his head in my direction, snapping back into reality.

"Never mind." I shook my head at him.

"So did Ash tell you about what happened between him and Annie?" Calum asked.

I had almost forgotten about that incident, but the sudden mention of it made me cringe.

I can't imagine Annie and Ashton together, it just doesn't feel right to me.

"Yeah, he told me." I muttered, the sudden image of Ashton and Annie almost kissing popped into my mind and I was mad at the thought of another stupid couple forming.

"Why does it bother you so much?" Calum wondered, noticing the anger that must have showed in my face.

"It just doesn't make any sense. All the sudden you all start falling for each other and just come to these stupid revelations that you should be together and it doesn't make any sense. It's like cliche that all the relationships are forming right when High School starts." I ranted.

It felt good to finally get that all off my chest.

"No one is even a couple.." Calum looked at me like I was insane, "it's just weird feelings we all haven't really figured out yet and--"

"Oh I think you have them figured out." I interrupted.

"You don't understand," Calum shook his head, "You're overthinking all of this."

"Whatever you say." I rolled my eyes.

Calum scoffed and then began to walk away, "You know, you should try staying out of everyone's personal life and probably try to get one of your own." He turned to tell me before running up to join Max and Steven in the hallway.

Actually, I don't know you... ((5sos))Where stories live. Discover now
