"Should we tell him we know?" Serinity asked.
"I think it's pretty obvious that he knows that we know. He's been spending a lot of time with Alex this week." I said.
"Well, let's just wait and see what happens. Hopefully Ash will come to his senses and stop his thing with Bryana by the time we go to the cabin thing." Calum sighed, scratching the back of his neck.
"Calum, in case you've forgotten Alex asked Bryana to come with us." I reminded.
"Okay, well- I don't know. We'll just have to see what Ashton does." Calum said.
"I just feel really bad for Alex." Serinity said, leaning onto Calum's shoulder.
"Because of Ashton?" I asked.
"Yeah and because of Mindy and her parents. It must've been hard listening to Mindy say all that stuff about her." Serinity said.
"Wait what?" I asked, feeling confused.
Calum and Serinity took turns explaining what happened between Mindy and Alex's parents.
"She went to the bathroom and cried? Are you guys sure she didn't do anything else?" I asked.
Calum shrugged, "I'm pretty sure."
"But baby, earlier she had more bracelets on." Serinity mentioned.
"She didn't. Don't think she did, because I know for a fact Alex is stronger than that okay?" Calum snapped. "Don't think that way."
Before I could say something, the house phone began to ring. "Baby, can you pretty please get the phone for me?" Calum asked, sticking out his bottom lip.
"Calum, it's your house go pick up the phone." Serinity replied.
"But-" Calum stopped and wrapped his arms around Serinity. "But Serene, I don't wanna let go of you."
She sighed and got up from the couch, only to have Calum grab her by the waist and pull her towards him. He began pressing kisses on her cheek, "Just kidding you don't need to answer it." He cheekily smiled, before he began pressing kisses on her lips, cheeks, and down her neck.
"Calum that tickles!" Serinity squealed.
"Excuse me, I'm gonna go barf." I jokingly gagged.
I took my phone out of my pocket and saw that I had text messages from Michael and Alex.
From Mikey :) ;
I left for work so ur gna have to buy food cause there isn't any left.
From Cheerios love Alex ;
Hey Lukey? Can you come and help me watch the kids again?
I smiled at her name on my phone. She had recently changed it while Delilah was playing games. Every time I helped babysit, I would download a few games just in case there was nothing for the kids to watch.
To Cheerios love Alex ;
I'll be there in 10 mins. Give or take a few
After I sent my text message to Alex I told Calum I was leaving. "Bye Cal! Don't get Serinity pregnant!" I called as I walked out the door.
I got into my car and headed towards Kristin's house. Alex soon opened the door. But I was shocked to see her. She looked like she hadn't slept for days, she looked pale and thinner, and also she didn't seem like herself.
"What's wrong with you?" I asked.
"I have a fever." Alex told me. She let me in then closed the door. "Kids! Luke's here!" Alex shouted, however her voice cracked when she said my name. Her voice sounded very different when she was sick. It was more raspy and would always crack when she talked.
Delilah and Thomas came rushing towards me. A rush of happiness went through my body as I took the two little kids in my arms. I saw Alex head back towards the living room. "Have you guys been taking care of Alex? She's quite sick you know?" I quietly said.
They both nodded. "Alex said that she feels better when we hug her and when we cuddle with her on the couch." Thomas said.
"Good to know." I replied, a little smirk escaping my lips.
I walked over to the living room where Alex was. Delilah and Thomas trailed behind me. I sat beside Alex and she slightly shifted away from me.
"I'm very hot Hemmings. I don't need anymore body heat." Alex said. P
"Then take off your hoodie. I'll get you a blanket." I said standing up from the couch. "Can one of you show me where your extra blankets are?" I asked, looking at the two kids.
"Ooh ooh I can!" Delilah exclaimed, raising her hand. "Lukey! I can help you."
"Okay, okay Delilah," I chucked, "Simmer down now."
I followed the kids up to the room where I grabbed a blanket and brought it to Alex. "Thanks Lucifer." Alex faintly smiled.
"Anytime." I nodded as I sat beside her again. She wrapped herself in the blanket then rested her head on my shoulder. I loved when she did that.
A few moments later, the kids joined us on the couch. Delilah sat with me, whilst Thomas cuddled with Alex. Delilah was sat on my lap so she was able to fiddle with the bracelets on Alex' wrists.
"Alex, why do you have a lot- a- lot of bracelets?" Delilah asked.
"Oh, because um.. I've always worn bracelets. I just like them." Alex answered awkwardly.
"Can you take them of so-so that we can try them on?" Thomas asked. Alex immediately removed her arm from Delilah's grasp.
"Um.. Not today. I really want to keep them on for today." She told them. I realized she was avoiding all eye contact towards me. I gave her a glare, she looked at me then looked away.
"Hey Clark, can I talk to you over there for a sec?" I asked.
"No thanks." Alex said.
"Alexandria." I snapped.
"Okay fine." She sighed getting up from the couch. She unwrapped the blanket that hugged her body and once again slipped on the hoodie.
We went up to her room and sat on the floor. "What do you want Hemmings?" Alex asked.
"Can you take off your bracelets for me? Please?" I asked. I held her wrist and looked straight into her eyes. I could see her sadness, and how much she was truly hurting.
Alex nodded. She took off each bracelet one by one, tears were starting to run down her face.
After her wrists were clear of bracelets, I saw that there were a few cuts. "Why Alex?" I asked.
Alex shrugged and kept her eyes glued to the floor. I lifted up her chin and kissed her forehead, kissing her wrists after. "Please. This'll be the last time okay?" I said.
