Chapter 4: Lost

Moe's POV

I was walking around the border of Kumogakure looking for Hidan and Kakazu. I was about to start the mission early when I heard bickering nearby. I walked towards the noise and saw my two idiots arguing about money again. “Fuck you dumbass!” Hidan yelled. Kakazu stopped and turned, “Shut up, we’re almost to the collection office.” He said and went to turn around again. Hidan grunted and swung his scythe at Kakazu, which he blocked. They glared at each other before Kakazu started walking again. “Hey, hey ,hey! Is that it? And I was getting fucking excited.” Hidan muttered and started walking. I giggled and glomped Hidan, “Hidan!!!” I yelled in his face.

He fell down and looked up, “Bitch!!!” he grinned. “Kakazu look who I found!” Hidan said swinging me onto his shoulder. “H-hey! Put me down!” I yelled and punched his back lightly. Hidan walked next to Kakazu and I grinned, “Hey Kaku-san.” He nodded and kept walking, “Are you joining our mission?” he asked. I nodded, “Yeah, don’t want you two getting hurt now do we?” I giggled. Hidan barked out a laugh, “Bitch we’re immortal! We aren’t going to fucking die!” he yelled. “Sure Hidan. Whatever floats your boat.” I muttered.

“Kaku-san can we go do the mission first?” I asked. He shook his head, “No. I want to get the money for this bounty first.” He said stubbornly. I made a clone and looked at him, “Give her the bounty and she’ll get the money. We need to focus on this mission.” I said back. He sighed, knowing he wasn’t going to win this fight. He gave my clone the bounty and looked at me. I nodded and smacked Hidan’s head, “Put me down you cunt basket!” I yelled. Hidan laughed and put me down. I grinned and started walking towards our destination.

We stopped a little before the gates, “Where is this chick?” I asked. Hidan pointed to a sewer pipe, “Bitch likes to play in there from what we heard.” I looked over and nodded. I pulled up my mask and summoned my katana. I put it on my back and looked at them, “You ready to go?” I asked. They nodded and we walked into the pipe. After walking for a while the pipe split into three directions. “I’ll go straight. Kaku-san go left, Hidan go right.” I said walking forward.

 For a while I could only hear droplets hitting the floor. I looked around noticing how dark it was getting. Fortunately, I can see in the dark. I stopped walking when I heard a small splash. I heard footsteps running along the corridor and I closed my eyes. I felt a strong chakra coming towards me and I smirked slightly. ‘Trying to attack head on?’ I asked myself. I heard the footsteps get closer and stuck my hand out to catch her fist. She tried pulling her hand away but I held on with a firm grip.

She growled and looked at me, “Who are you?” she asked. I opened my eyes and looked at her, “I am Moe Uzumaki.” I said twisting her wrist. She winced slightly and closed her eyes. When she opened them again they were a different color. Now she had one green and one yellow eye. I smirked, “You’re using your beast already?” I asked. She growled loudly and released her beast’s chakra, shaping into it. I looked up at her, “I commend you for being able to control your beast.” I said closing my eyes. “You are a true Jinchurriki after all, just like Bee-sensei said.” I finished looking up at her. I heard Hidan and Kakazu walk in behind me. “Hey Bitch, you found her!”  Hidan yelled. An explosion happened behind us and we turned to see the exit blocked of by debris.

We turned to see Yugito making a tailed beast bomb. I started doing hand signs as she shot her bomb at us. I held my hands out before it could hit us and teleported the bomb elsewhere. I sighed, “That jutsu is troublesome.” I muttered. Hidan pulled out his scythe and started attacking Yugito. Kakazu and I sat down watching him. “Hidan, remember we need her alive okay?” I yelled to him. Hidan groaned and looked at me, “I get to do my sacrifice afterwards though.” He said and attacked her again. I groaned and looked at Kakazu, “His ‘rituals’ take too fucking long.” I muttered. He chuckled, “I know.”

 Hidan finally knocked Yugito out and finished his ritual. I sat up and stretched, “Can I teleport us now?” I asked eager to leave. Hidan stood up and nodded. I did my hand signs and teleported us to the nearest base. Right when we got there, Leader’s hologram appeared, “Good job. Let’s start the sealing process.” He said. He summoned the Gendo Statue and the other member’s holograms started appearing. I jumped onto the finger I usually stand on. I was getting ready when Leader called for me. I got up and walked over to his hologram, “Yes Leader?” I asked. He looked down at me, “I need you to do something else for me.” He said. I looked up at him, “Okay, what do you need?” I asked. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, before looking at me again, “I need you to go to Suna.

Sasuke’s POV

“Where is he?” I growled. I looked over the map and noticed how far we were getting from where I wanted to go. “Why are we…” I trailed off. I thought about everything we’ve been doing up to now. Realization hit me hard and I punched the table, “Dammit!” I clenched my fist. Moe… She’s been leading us the wrong way this entire time. How could I not see this before?! I knew it… but I didn’t want to believe it. Moe betrayed me… for Itachi. I growled and punched the wall, “Haven’t you taken enough from me?” I asked out loud. “Itachi…” I growled. I felt anger bubbling up inside of me. Was it at Moe, the girl I love or at Itachi, the man who took everything from me? I sat on my bed and looked at the floor. I wasn’t sure if I could trust Moe anymore now… I thought she understood me.

I heard light footsteps in front of me and looked up. I saw Moe looking down at me sadly and I glared at her. I stood up and looked down at her, “Why are you here?” I asked. She looked down at the floor, but before she said anything I pushed her against the wall. “Why are you protecting him?!” I yelled. She flinched and looked at me with sad eyes. I activated my sharingan and looked into her eyes, “Tell me… Now!” I yelled. She closed her eyes and shook her head, “I can’t.” she said. I growled, “Why not?! Do you love him? Is that what it is?!” I yelled louder.

She looked up at me, “No! It isn’t like that!” she said back. “You’re lying!” I yelled and punched the wall next to her. She looked at me with tears in her eyes, “Sasuke… You baka.” She said as she pushed me off of her. I took a step forward when I noticed she was crying. Moe’s crying… because of me. I felt my heart drop and I started feeling guilty. Moe didn’t deserve this. I went to take a step forward when she shook her head, “No, save it… If you don’t believe me then I’ll just leave. That’s what you want right? You got what you wanted.” She said and left. I sat down on my bed and put my hands in my face, “I think I lost her…”
