Chapter 14: Aftermath

This'll be a short chapter sorry :^/

Everything happened in slow motion. I watched as Itachi's body fell to the ground, lifeless. Tears were flowing out of my eyes as I struggled against Zetsu's hold. I wanted to run over to his body and try to save him, do anything just to have him back. I cried out his name and I could feel my beast stir inside me.

'You idiot! Don't let your emotions get the better of you!' She yelled at me. I couldn't hear her over my crying though. Ripping out of Zetsu's grip, I sprinted towards Itachi's body and slid to my knees next to him. My eyes widened more when I got a good look at his face.

He was... smiling.

Even though his brother cursed at him, and wished for his death he died with a smile on his face. My tears ran off my cheeks and fell on Itachi's face, running down to the ground. I gripped the front of his shirt and buried my face into his chest, screaming his name out to the world. The person who raised me these past 3 years, who cared for me the most, who acted the most like my family was dead. My body started to shake as I let myself breakdown, I couldn't control myself anymore.

I heard footsteps next to me but I didn't care who it was at the moment. I saw someone's hand go to touch my shoulder and I growled sinisterly as I looked over to see Sasuke kneeled down next to me. He looked taken back when I growled at him, and I realized I probably looked like a monster right now. I could feel that my canines had grown, and my hair was getting longer.

"Y-You killed him..." I whispered raspily, clenching my fists. Sasuke didn't say anything, he just looked at me with his normal, blank look. I growled as my claws grew slightly, "Y-You killed him! You bastard!" I yelled, blood dripping from my hand from me clenching my fist too hard. Hurt sparked in his eyes and he looked at me with a small but sad expression. He put a hand out and wiped a tear off my cheek, "Moe I'm sorry but I had to." he told me.

I snapped.

I grabbed him by the throat and slammed him into the wall, "No! No you didn't!!" I yelled at him. He winced from the new pain in his back and throat, "Dammit Moe!" he winced and looked at me. "Calm down! You don't understand what I went through as a kid, the anger and hatred! I had to kill him!" he screamed back at me. My hand tightened around his throat, "I don't understand?" I asked. I glared at him, "What he did back then... Is exactly what you just did to me. You killed my family. So does that mean I have to kill you?" I said, squeezing slightly on his throat. He coughed from the lack of air and gripped my hand, trying to pry it off his throat.

'Moe! Stop this now! You're letting my hatred get to you!' My beast roared in my mind.

'Do you want to lose two people you love in one day?! This isn't you, this isn't what you want!' She yelled, trying to draw back her hatred. It was too late though... I was already lost to the anger and lost I was feeling. I felt a familiar chakra signature behind me and tap my back. The person must have performed a jutsu on my cause I felt myself calm down, and slowly drop my hand off of Sasuke's throat.

My eyes drooped and I fell into someone's arms. I looked up to see Zetsu looking down at me with a saddened expression. I couldn't hold my eyes open anymore and I let the darkness consume me.

Tobi's POV

I jumped around and looked down at the Konoha team, "What game shall we play next my Konoha friends?!" I asked bubbily and put my hands on my hips. They just glared up at me, probably not amused by my games. I felt two chakra's nearby and saw Zetsu pop out of the branch next to me, holding Moe in his arms. She looked like she was unconcious, but it was obvious that her tailed beast was starting to come out. Her hair was going back to normal but her claws, whiskers and canines were still long and noticable.

I looked at Zetsu, "So, what happened?" I asked. "Sasuke and Itachi's battle is over. Sasuke won." he said and looked down at the Konoha team, "But Sasuke's not in good condition. I wonder how long he'll last." he sang. "And Moe here almost killed him, it was a funny sight indeed." he laughed slightly.

I looked down at Naruto to see him wide eyed. He was staring at Moe, "Give her back!" he yelled, clenching his fist. I took a strand of Moe's hair and twirled it, "Why would I do that? I haven't extracted her beast yet." I smirked behind my mask, letting my more serious tone come out. Their eyes all widened, "What?!" the pinkette yelled.

"I thought you guys considered her family!!" Naruto yelled. "I knew it was all a lie!!" he growled. "Well of course it was." I chuckled. "We only used her for these past years, and now that her mind has been tampered enough she's unstable. It'll be easier to extract her beast now." I gave them a sinister look. I looked over at Zetsu, "Take her back to the base." I told him. He nodded and disappeared again, "No!! Give her back!!" he yelled and jumped next to me. He punched me but his fist went through my face, "It's futile." I told him and jumped back. "Now if you don't mind, I have to go retrieve Sasuke." I chuckled and disappeared from sight.

Naruto's POV

I punched the ground, "Dammit! We lost her again!!" I yelled. Kakashi-sensei patted my back and walked next to me, "Now we know their true intentions, we can use it against them. If we get it to Moe maybe she'll come back Naruto. Don't give up hope." he told me. I clenched my fist, "If they touch another hair on her..." I growled and looked where that Tobi guy stood last, "I'll kill them all."

Sakura sighed and made me stand up, "Look we can't do anything here, we should see if we can make it there first." she told us. I stood up and looked at her, "You're right Sakura-chan! "

Kakashi-sensei looked at Kiba, "Can you find Sasuke's scent?" he asked. Kiba smirked and tapped his nose, "Don't underestimate my nose!" he said and ran forward with Akamaru. We all followed him quickly, running as fast as we could. As we ran I couldn't help but think about Moe and Akatsuki. This whole time she thought of them as family... And they betrayed her. I clenched my fist tightly at the thought of it.

'Those bastards... I'll definately get Moe back alive! I'll get her away from those assholes.' 

Even if I thought that I knew deep inside that it wasn't going to be easy.

'You're coming back to Konoha with me Moe... You'll have a real family that loves you. I swear.'
