Chapter 11: Distraught

Moe's POV

I looked around and noticed everything around me was black. I knew I was in a dream, and I awaited the horrifying memory it wanted to show me. All the sudden the room brightened up to yesterday, Naruto staying across from me, readying a rasengan. My eyes widened as I continued to watch, both of us charging at each other. Our rasengan's clashed together, exploding and creating a huge chakra sphere around us.

The dream put me in the sphere looking at my brother and I. Naruto had a smile on and I looked at him with a blank face. He chuckled and crossed his arms over his chest, "You can stop pretending now. They can't hear us from in here." he said. I glared at him, "I'm not pretending." I snapped back. He looked at me with a sad look, "Moe-chan... Why do you have to do this? Why won't you come back to me?" he asked quietly.

"I left for my own reasons, and I won't come back. No matter what you say." I told him, standing up more. Naruto walked towards me slowly, stopping a few feet in front of me. "I will bring you and Sasuke back home Moe. I swear." he said with a bright smile. "I'll never give up, ever. I'll keep moving forward until I have you back home." he said and put his fist over his heart. "Believe it!"

My eyes bore into his, my face remaining the same. "I don't care about your little promise. It won't come true, stop making promises you can't keep Naruto. You'll fail at the end." I told him. "You couldn't keep Sasuke from leaving, your best friend, and you couldn't keep your own sister from leaving. If you can't take our hatred, and darkness from us, you'll never bring us back."

He closed his eyes and looked back at me with determined eyes, "If that's what it takes then I'll do it. I'm going to bring you back, I don't break my promises. Its my ninja way!" he said staring back at me. I smirked slightly, "I look forward to our next meeting. You better be ready for a fight." I told him. He grinned, "I'll be stronger than you by then Moe-chan! I'll definitely bring you back." he told me. The chakra sphere started to break, cracking little by little. Just before it completely broke Naruto smiled and looked at me with a soft gaze, "I love you little sis."

The chakra sphere broke and it showed Daisuke taking me away from the scene.

Tears rolled down my face as it switched to another scene. This one was of me as a kid, back in the Land of Lightning.

I was sitting on a bench under a tree, the shade covering me. I wasn't doing anything, until an egg flew at me and hit me on the head. The yolk slid down the right side of my face and I wiped some of it off. I looked over at some kids with cartons of eggs in their hands. "Go away monster!" one kid yelled, raising his hand and threw an egg at me. I didn't move as it hit me on my shoulder, I only rose from my seat and turned away from the kids. I moved in front of my younger self and saw myself crying.

I clenched my fist, 'Why was I so weak?' I asked myself. My kid self ran through me, the bullies following after me. They continued to throw eggs at me, yelling insults, until they ran out of things to throw or say. I followed myself to the woods, were I found Ki. My eyes widened, 'Ki?' I realized how long it's been since I've seen him. I missed him.

I walked over to see myself tending to a black cub, he had been hurt by a hunters trap. I opened the trap and tried to help the little cub when I was shoved away harshly. "Stay away from my prey punk!" the man yelled. I looked up frightened, "You're the monster girl!" he yelled, grabbing his sword. "I'll do us all a favor." he said raising his sword. He slashed it down, and I covered my head in fear. The cub pushed me out of the way enough so the sword only sliced my side a little.
