Her grades got low
Her mind got lower
But you couldn't tell, if you were to know her
She carried a smile as big as her struggles
She buried her face
So you couldn't hear her muffles
She apologized
For not doing a thing
She tallied her mistakes
With a sharp silver thing
Legs, wrists, hips, and neck
She was slowly turning into a wreck
When people asked her of them
She always lied
It was my cat
She swallowed her cry
Her cat turned into a survivalist
Learning how to tie knots
She isn't alive now
Because it was her smile
That all people bought.
