*Dahlia's P.O.V.*
"Do you know?" Niall asks me as we ride in the back of the limo that is taking us to the movie premiere. He looks at me with his eyes wide like a child.
I chuckle, " Unfortunately. I was informed."
"Well like what is going on?" he asks.
"We are going to kiss, Niall. I thought you knew." Kathy had texted me to let me know, but like everything else going on in my life right now I had no choice but to accept it.
"I do, but it's more than that. After we had that talk last weekend-" I cut him off not knowing what he is talking about.
"What talk?" I ask confusedly. We went to the club last weekend and Niall barely spoke two words to me. I just got super drunk and oh wait that's it. I must've gotten so drunk and talked to Niall about who the hell knows what and I just can't remember. "Oh, don't find any meaning when I talk drunk."
"No, you just must not remember it. It- we really connected," Niall's voice almost sounds desperate like he is begging me to remember.
"Niall, I know how I am. It didn't mean anything, so stop trying to make it something it's not." My words are sharp. He looks away and for a second I wish I could've changed my words, but it passes. We aren't dating and I don't have feelings for Niall so there is no one to hurt.
"Okay," he says and then clears his throat, "So I haven't been to that many of these things, are they fun?" He switches topics so quickly to something so casual it catches me off guard.
"No, they are a bunch of fake people that only come to show their money," I respond honestly. I hate events like these its always a waste of my time and a waste of myself.
"Really? Well its a bunch of famous people stuck into one room so it makes sense."
"Yeah, pretty much." I look outside my window and see we are approaching the venue. I already see cameras ready with faces hungry for a story. I look towards Niall who looks ghastly. I give him a half smile which he returns.
"Ready?" I ask and he nods. We pull up and park. The chauffeur opens the door for us and I glide out, making sure to look into the cameras with a carbonated smile. Niall follows me and does the same. He takes me by the waist and pulls me through the carpeted lane. There are a lot of people in front of us but we are nearing the photo spots where we will have to stand in front of a sponsored back drop as people take pictures of us; The spot where we will have to kiss.
After five or so minutes we move up to the front. Niall gives me a weak smile, like its too painful to look happy. He grabs me by the waist and stands still as a board. We walk up to the spot and immediately we are blinded. "Dahlia!" "Niall" are called out to us. People take pictures of us and then sure enough we hear it. Its like a bell, "Kiss!" I smile and turn to Niall who has terror painted on his face. Shit, I think, he better not mess this up. He grabs my face a bit too forcefully but I try to play it off like it was perfect. He looks at me right in the eye and suddenly everything seems real like before we were just paper dolls playing out part but now its just us. My heart speeds for no reason. This is it, I think, and then his lips are on mine. It's tentative at first like we don't know how to work everything but then everything kind of melts together and its like the roller coaster going down the drop. The adrenaline, the noise, everything just comes together really fast. We pull apart and smile at the cameras one last time.
Niall looks at me, scanning my face, like he's trying to read my thoughts. I feel like I'm in a smiling daze and I don't know what to say or do. "So that was- ," Niall begins but luckily for me I see a familiar girl with blond hair. Before I know it I am running over to her.
