Third Person P.O.V.
"So, it's a haunted house. What else?" Joella said at the meeting. Kat had a lot of ideas for the Halloween Festival coming up and she pitched in every time a question or the opportunity came.
"Joels since it's your birthday the same day as the festival, why don't we dedicate it to both the school and you. Besides, you're already popular and everyone is coming." Kat said. "So, what do you think?"
"Well, that's not a bad idea. Why don't you take charge of that? But for now, let's focus on the festival. So, any other ideas for the theme? I already have the admission written down but it varies on the entertainment." She finished. The bell rang and everyone began to pack up. "Okay guys, that's the bell. We'll continue this every morning and evening before and after school. I'll put a notice on the board. Alright, enjoy your day." She ended the meeting and left after everyone had departed the room.
Joella was on her way to her homeroom for registration when she bumped into a tall figure in front of her. She back off and looked up and saw someone with jet black curly short hair, grey eyes, pinched lips, tanned skin, muscular and firm. "Oh, excuse me." He said with his hot British accent.
"I'm sorry. It's my fault, I wasn't looking where I was going." She said and faintly smiled. They stared at each other and then smiled. He made way for her and she left. She turned the corner and looked back at him and he did the same.
Joella went to her seat in homeroom and waited for Mr. Bishop to come to class. The door slowly opened and everyone shuffled to their seats. A foot stepped through the door but it wasn't Mr. Bishop's, it was that new guy. Everyone was a little upset and went back to their conversations. The new guy was about to sit next to her when Mr. Bishop walked in with a stern look on his face. He looked angrily at the classroom and then introduced the new guy.
"Good morning class."
"Good morning Mr. Bish...op." the class trailed off.
"This is Mr. Max Recaro Woods. He's new, so treat him nicely." He said. "Mr. Woods, you can sit next to our class rep, Ms. Joella Wilis. Her grades are above average so don't distract her." He finished. She raised her hand to indicate Mr. Bishop was talking about her. Max nodded and took his seat.
He had a blank expression on his face as she stared at him in a daze. Then he began to seem irritated. "You like what you see?" He asked arrogantly and annoyed. A blush swept across her face when words left his mouth. His voice was so inviting and deep yet soothing then he smirked when he saw her blush.
"Um.. no. Not really." She answered.
"Oh? Whatever you say." She stared at him as he spoke and he met her eyes. "By the way can I ask you something?" He asked impatiently.
"What?"
"I hope this isn't sudden but can I have your number?" Joella's eyes froze open as he said those words and she blankly looked at him. "I'd like to get to know you first but may I eventually?" He asked nervously. Before she could respond he instigated that the teacher said to make him feel welcomed. As if playing with her emotions he smirked. She felt as though she walked right into that situation and finally said yes.
Mr. Bishop was quietly standing listening to their conversation just as the whole class did. When she noticed, she stood up and apologized to the class and Mr. Bishop for interrupting. The new guy smirked and Mr. Bishop continued registration.
Joella sighed. "Ugh, this is going to be a long day." Then she planted herself in her seat holding her head.
The new guy heard her and chuckled. For some reason, she couldn't help but smile.
