Deep within the dark, noisy caverns of Hell in the throne room, Joella, Howard, and Dexter stood in absolute silence at the sight of a man attired in black like the grim reaper. However, this man had mini horns spiked out the top of his temple and a disfigured facial structure that looked like it was charred with coal on the left upper side of his unpleasant face. The bottom left of his face, where the left corner of his pinched lips and cheek should be, was scraped away showing his bloody skeletal jawbone, gums, and stained teeth. This unsightly figure was without a doubt Joella's father, Michael. His appearance was horrifying. Joella was petrified by him and looked at him as he stared right back at her. Lucifer took his seat once more at his throne and Dexter stood behind her as Howard approached Lucifer and watched at his feet.
Then Michael spoke in a creepy, scratchy tone of voice as he stepped closer and closer to her. "Noire, I've missed you-" before he could continue, Joella held up her hand.
"Don't come near me!" she said abruptly. Michael stopped for a moment observing her expression then continued.
"Noire, don't be afraid. It's me, dad," said Michael, now just a few feet away. Every time he stepped forward, she stepped back.
"If you are my father then you should know that Noire isn't my name," she argued. At this point, they would've gotten nowhere. So, Michael reconstructed his appearance to look like the person she knew. To do so, he held up his right hand and placed it on the left side of his face- where it was deformed- and dug his fingertips into the bloody muscle, cupping them under then pulling harshly on the content. This looked painful to the naked eye. He pulled on the skin and it came off like a glued-on mask, exposing the sticky muscles that were attached to his actual face and the skin in his grasp. It tugged and all the blood dripped from his facial muscles to the floor. Then, in one breathe, he pulled it right off showing his full-on facial muscle structure. Joella was terrified. Michael looked down to the floor while shaking his head with a speed that cannot be detected by the human eye. Finally, after a split second, he stopped and revealed his human appearance.
"Better?" he asked then tossing the skin in the air. Lucifer slightly lifted his finger and pointed at the fragment as if it wasn't a challenge and it caught a flame burning a very bright blue.
"Lovely, a show," said Lucifer amusingly. "Dexter, come hither."
As ordered, Dexter approached the foot of the throne and knelt in respect. "Yes, Master." He said lowering his head then raising it.
"Go fetch Crimson and Jadeja. And on your way back, could you kindly tell Mina I need a refill?" Lucifer ordered politely, still spectating Joella's conversation with Michael.
Dexter stood firmly and bowed to his master. "Certainly." He said then went on his way. As the door closed after Dexter left, Michael sighed.
"Ahh, Joels I'm going to be blunt with you. What do you want from me?" He asked. Joella thought about what to say then closed her eyes tight.
"I want my father back." She said under her breathe hoping they didn't hear her.
"I'm sorry, but I'm not your father. I'm a demon messenger who was pretending to be your guardian while I work. You weren't supposed to grow attached to me, you nor Aarin." Michael states calmly.
"We loved you. You were there for me when my mom died. Then you and Rachael-" she paused. "...wait, does she know about you?"
"Of course she does. She fears me. But enough about me, I have duties to attend to. If you need to talk more, we can some other time but for now, take it up with your real father." Said Michael pointing to Lucifer who had a malicious smirk plastered on his face. Michael then vanished in an instant leaving behind Howard, Lucifer, and Joella.
"Howard, leave us." Stated Lucifer and Howard exited. "Noire, let's chat." He said and she sighed.
"I'm growing tired of you calling me by that foreign name." She said.
"I don't care how you feel right now, child. You're my daughter so I'll call you what I want to. Now Noire, let's talk about your mother." With that Joella went silent. Lucifer paid close attention to her expression then continued. "You're mother is alive. I have her here." Joella was about to protest but Lucifer continued. "Before you say anything, just listen. I can take you to her right now if you so wish but before I do, you should know that she's not the same person you knew." He ended.
"You're lying!" She yelled right after. "My mom died, and she was a good woman, a saint. What you're telling me is that after ten years long past since she was dead that she still lives here, in Hell- the home to all evil." She yelled louder. "Is the woman you're referring to even my real mom?"
Lucifer stood to his heels. "Yes! And I loved that woman believe it or not and I'd be dammed if anyone, even God, has her. She's too good for Heaven. But she betrayed me."
"You're impulsive! My mom doesn't belong anywhere near you. You're-" Joella was arguing with Lucifer and yelling until she was interrupted by the door swinging open and closing.
Then two figures came stalking in, a young man and a young girl. Joella looked to her left and her eyes widened when the young girl suddenly ran and hugged her tightly. "Noire!" She looked down at the girl with long flowing green curls and petite size. Then she looked up and saw the young man with fiery red short hair smiling at her.
"Jadeja? Crimson?" Joella said under her breathe and the girl called Jadeja eased off of her and Crimson stood next to her.
Lucifer couldn't help but descend from his throne to stand aside from his children. "I see you remember them," Joella looked as though she'd cry but was determined to hold it in.
However, she cried anyway. "Of course I'd remember. They're my eldest brother and baby sister." Lucifer smirked as Joella grabbed her siblings into a bone-crushing embrace. After six long seconds, she let go and examined them both.
