With Joella's soul still trapped in the Underworld, her friends and family are forced to cast a powerful spell to reverse time itself. Rachael and Chloe hoped that by doing so, the lost soul would be freed and they could take the necessary precautions to avoid the coming tragedy. After returning the limb young woman safely home, Chloe enchanted one of her friend's bracelets and placed the talisman around her wrist. She imbrued the bracelet with just enough magic to give herself and the others enough time to figure out the best course of action before something like this happens again. For now, their safest bet is to prevent Joella from accessing her powers at all costs to avoid any more calamity. Fortunately for her, by doing the transtemporal spell, she is aware of all unexpected events of that coming day, like her uncle's untimely visit.

Chloe managed to persuade her elder brother, Carlisle, to take Aarin home since he was already at Katelynn's. Her brother and Katelynn have been seeing each other for about two years now, so he mostly spends his time at her place. He practically lives there. The young witch left the Wilis' residence in unnoticeable haste with her brother and went on their way home. Carlisle began to make small talk as they had a while before arriving at home. However, feeling enervated, Chloe became mundane to her brother and nodded off trying her best to fight off the sleep. Unfortunately, it was not just drowsiness that attacked her body. Quickly, they arrived at their home and Carlisle hoisted his younger sister from the passenger's seat and took her inside their greenhouse in the garden. He placed her alongside the fully grown lavender plants and assembled seven candles around her body with just one of them lit above her head. He noticed from the moment his little sister got back into the vehicle after they left her friend's house that something was off. He knew she pushed herself past her limit. Bringing her into the garden surrounded by nature was the only way he knew how to help his sister. Despite being her older brother, he did not have the gift of magic-- or rather, he never bothered to study it no matter how hard their uncle forced the practice down his throat after their mother died. Even though he managed to escape his uncle's grasp, his sister could not and he could not save her either, so he left. A weak fifteen-year-old boy could not compare to a fully grown warlock. His only option was to leave and find a way to get stronger, strong enough to rescue his sister from their murderous uncle. The only thing that kept him sane after leaving his sister behind was knowing that she could defend herself because like their mother and every female of their bloodline, she was beyond gifted. Now, in the wake of returning home after being gone for over three years, it was his turn to protect her. By placing Chloe next to the lavender plants, their aroma should start to cure her spiritually as they possess certain healing properties. If they work, the unlit candles should begin to burn one by one until they are all fully lit. However, if the candle above her temple was to suddenly be extinguished, she would be beyond healing and his capabilities. If that were to happen, he would not have any other choice but to turn to another who practices witchcraft- like his uncle Vicktor- and he would do anything to prevent going to such lengths.

So, he waited.

And he waited.

And waited. For what seemed like minutes, turned to hours, and eventually morning came the following day. As the new dawn approached, Carlisle awakened suddenly as the warmth of the sun's rays touched his face. He flashed his gaze to his sister who was sleeping peacefully surrounded by seven fully lit candles and he smiled softly. Carlisle finally managed to let out a long sigh of relief and stretched his tensed muscles. Coincidentally, just as he flexed his right arm forward and over his head, a mysterious gust of wind scattered the herbs and plants in the greenhouse in a disarray. Then the flames blew out and Chloe jounced from her slumber simultaneously.

"Chloe!" shouted Carlisle pulling his little sister into a bear hug.

"Carlisle. I'm sorry, I messed up," she said observing his surroundings. Carlisle's smile was as feeble as a young horse but he tried his best to put on a brave face. He knew what just happened was not his sister's doing. It was his and he figured it would be better to let Chloe believe she caused the chaotic scene in the greenhouse until he could piece together how he did it and what caused it.
