The hallways were freshly painted in the blood of the students and staff. Their bodies were scattered, detached, and faces unrecognizable. The student-body president, Joella Wilis, was coated in darkness; forcing her to succumb to her true nature-- a demon. However, she was no mere demon. She was the daughter of the devil among all demons, Satan's spawn, thus making her invincible. But something happened to make her unlock her unfamiliar abilities and this caused her power to go haywire. Joella was once a person who believed in Heaven, God, and all that is pure. She was a Christian but after finding out where she came from and her past, she changed.

Sitting in the center of a vacant classroom, Chloe and Vicktor arranged twenty-four candles around themselves in silence with the help of Rachael. Rachael had finished placing her share and sat patiently in the center as well. Chloe and her uncle faced each other and they all sat in a triangular formation. She then took a deep breath and spoke up. "Ready?" she asked observing her uncle and best friend's stepmother and they both nodded. "Let's begin."

"Wait, before we start," Rachael began to proclaim. "why exactly did we have to place specifically twenty-four candles in the room?"

Chloe reached over for her uncle's hands and Rachael's as she was about to explain. However, Vicktor stepped in and told her to prepare herself. "I'll explain, Chloe. You just make sure that everything is in order; this spell can only be performed once every twelve months. It has to be done right on the first try."

"I know," she retorted and followed instructions.

"Now Raven, I'll explain." he began. "Since we are tampering with time, each candle represents every hour in one day. The spell we will be using is called Time Relapse. It allows the user to transpose time to any given day that they wish. In our case, the day we are going back to is yesterday, correct?" he asked.

"Yes," nodded Rachael.

"Good," said Vicktor.

"But how does the spell work exactly?" she asked inquisitively.

"Ah, now this spell depends on the candles. When Chloe and I start the spell all twenty-four candles will be lit automatically. As we go deeper into the spell to channel the energies from the flames, they should all be extinguished one by one. That is the point where time will be frozen for all those outside of this circle. Then with your help, we'll relight the flames one by one, and by doing so, with every candle that's lit is every hour that is subtracting from now. So if say, now it is 3:30 p.m. and I wish to go back to yesterday's 4:30 a.m., I should have eleven candles lit when the spell is complete." explained Victor.

"I see. But why do you need my help?" asked Rachael.

"Well you see Raven, you're a vampire. A being that is said to cheat death, therefore prolonging its existence and duration and manipulating time. You and your nature are essential for this spell to work. We'll channel you to gain more power once the flames go out." Vicktor ended.

"I understand. Let's hurry then before K.C. and the others lose Joella's body." With that, they all hurried and performed the incantation.

Meanwhile, K.C. and the others finally found a way to trap Joella's body in a classroom while Isaques stayed with her. Lucas, Marcus, K.C., and Max waited patiently outside the room holding Jaylon, Max's long-lost elder brother, in captivity. Marcus, being the smart-mouthed guy he is, couldn't help but comment on the siblings' predicament.

"So lemme get this straight, you two are brothers?" he asked examining Jaylon's corpse and Max with an uncanny expression, clearly awaiting a response. Max nodded and it piqued both Lucas' and K.C.'s interest. "Really? Are you sure? 'Cause, you two sure don't look it." K.C. leered at Max then at Jaylon for a brief moment without batting an eyelid and cut in.

"Haha, don't smell like it either." Lucas sighed at their solemn implications and held his head; shaking it.

"What's so amusing?" asked Max. Marcus and K.C. couldn't help but cackle loudly at the remark they found entertaining.

"They're going off at the fact that you and your brother are completely different, and not just in terms of him being dead and you, very much alive. I don't see what's so comical about any of it other than him being in such a vulnerable state for someone who's so power-hungry and-" Lucas silenced himself when Max yelled.

"Don't say it!" Max snapped. The other three boys became inaudible and remained that way. "You all know nothing." The tension was building up rapidly among them or was it something else. Isaques forced the door to the classroom open while wearing a meaningful expression.

"Do you... all feel... that?" he asked, however, he sounded very sluggish.

"They did it," stated Lucas. Then, without warning, there was a train horn and a brilliant white light emitting from the end of the hallway. "What's that?"

"Who cares? Move!" Marcus shouted and forcefully pushed everyone into the room, slamming the door shut behind them.

At that moment, the entire room and all that could be seen was coated in white light and a vacuum-like wind current pulled everyone towards a black hole.

Feeling like a couple of hours later, or rather many hours before, Chloe appeared on Joella's porch along with her eldest brother carrying a sleeping Aarin in his arms snoring the night away. Rachael halted her conversation with Isaques to open the door and Chloe's brother came marching in. Rachael thought for a moment and notice that everything felt like déjà vu.

"Poor Rin must've been tired." She said as she patted his head. She looked up and realized that Chloe felt the same way. "Hi there Carlisle. Chloe. Good to see you." Carlisle smiled and took Aarin up to his room, along with Isaques, while Rachael and Chloe made their way to Joella's. Joella appeared to be her regular self having a peaceful dream and Rachael gave her a light peck on her forehead.

"Chloe, shouldn't you do some sort of incantation to prevent tomorrow's events from happening?" whispered Rachael.

"I could try one that should stop her abilities from going haywire. Hopefully, that works," replied Chloe. She took about two minutes to perform the spell on one of Joella's bracelets and sighed. "As long as she keeps this on, everything should be fine. I should go now. Carlisle's waiting." Rachael and Chloe made their way downstairs and Chloe left.

"Wait a minute, Chloe." She turned around. "What do you think happened to those students that were killed?" asked Rachael, feeling responsible.

"Oh don't worry about them. The fact that you remember them at all means that they weren't erased from existence," she reassured her but Rachael still felt like she was carrying a huge burden. "They're alive. I'll explain how the transtemporal spell works tomorrow."

"Transtemporal?" Rachael asked herself and looked up, and watched Chloe waving goodbye. She closed the door and went to her room and sighed, as she was incapable of slumber.
