"Cody Anderson?" Mrs. Ramey said as she took roll.

"Here," I responded.

"I've heard a lot about you. Glad to have you in my home room this year!"

"Thank you."

"Allison Cooper?"

"Here," said a sun kissed student, who looked as a goddess to me. My mouth gaped open as I struggled to remember her ever attending this school

"Welcome, Ms. Cooper! Since you are our newest student, I have appointed Cody to show you around here." Mrs. Ramey said as she continued taking roll. I stared at Allison until she finished.

"Hey, I'm Allison," she said as she shook my hand.

"Cody," I said smiling like an idiot. Mrs. Ramey told us we had to pick partners for the rest of the year to work on projects with. Of course I picked the gorgeous Allison.

"Exchange numbers everyone! This will become the person you will spend most of your time with. 65% of your grade comes from projects. All of them are partner projects. Now this being an advanced honors U.S. History class, all of you should do beyond well on those projects." Mrs. Ramey continued her spill about our grades. She was hot, but a bit annoying. All the teachers expected SO much from me. Honestly, I wasn't anything like my sister, Kelly. She was focused and athletic, and a genius. Me? I was a genius and athletic too, but I wasn't focused. I'd much rather be chasing after girls at parties with Shawn, my bestfriend. The bell rang, and I couldn't wait until I could talk to Allison.

"So hey, where's your next class?" I asked with too much enthusiasm.

"Looks like English in the C-Hall. Mr. Cox."

"Cool, me too!" I exclaimed a little too hyper.

"Good. May I ask why you're so hyper at 9 in the morning?" She giggled and I joined in.

"I do apologize. I just saw a beautiful girl, and got excited I get to show her around this school," I smirked.

"And it starts... Look, I'm not-" she said just as I cut her off.

"I was just giving you a compliment. Sheesh!"

"Oh, well thanks!" she blushed slightly, looking away. I grinned at her, my eyes traveling over her body. mentally capturing every detail of it.

"So tell me about yourself," She requested as we made our way to English, across the campus.

"Well. I'm captain and quarterback of the football team. As you can see, dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, all American boy really. There's not really much to tell... What about you?" I adjusted my backpack and looked in her direction.

"I just moved here, and I think I like it so far. I'm from Tennessee, so this is a nice change of scenery; we're landlocked, so we don't have beaches like you all. I have one younger brother named Jace... I think that's about it," she smiled at me.

"Cool. I know this will seem kinda like me hitting on you, but might I say, you're gorgeous."

"You just don't give up do you kid? You're cute, but I have a rep already I'd like to keep up," she nodded looking into my eyes as I stared back into her brown ones. This girl wouldn't give me the time a day, even before she knew my rep around here. It wasn't exactly bad, but not good either, each day it leaned a little more to one side or the other.

"One chance. And if I don't prove to you that I'm actually a good guy, you don't ever have to talk to me ever again," I compromised.

"Ugh, fine, one chance; And I have standards, just beware," she smirked.
