!*~ Cody's POV ~*!
It's been about 2 days since 3/4 of the potential babies have arrived. It's also 5 days until the wedding.
"Hey babe, chicken or turkey?" Alli asked typing away on her laptop for her assignment. I'm really proud of her being a soon to be mommy, and still going to college all while planning a wedding.
"Uhh, baked chicken?" I said as more of a question than an answer. I was gathering some info for an upcoming case, so I wasn't paying much attention. Plus, Alli's hormones are all over the place, and the littlest thing can make her cry.
"Okay," she said still zipping away on her laptop. I looked at her face and saw it scrunched up like the cute little way she does it when she's concentrating.
"Hey baby, I was thinking," I said slowly tugging the computer away. She looked at me like I was insane. "Maybe you should let our moms plan the rest of the wedding? I mean, you've done a great job, but with school, and the baby, I just don't want you to stress too much," I said pulling her to me and rubbing her arms. She buried her head in my chest and started crying, like I predicted.
"Cody, I'm trying. I really am," she faintly whispered.
"I know you are baby. That's why I want you to take a break. Our moms are really great at putting stuff together. Especially now that you've gotten all the big stuff done. Only thing we need is the flowers, and table placements right?" I asked pulling her and her baby bump even closer. She's been needing a lot of comforting lately, and I have no problem with babying her. I'm supposed to be there when she needs me right? Call me sprung or whipped, but my baby needs me, and I'm gonna be there for her.
"Yes... That's all we need," she answered and sighed.
"Okay, well I'll call them and make sure they get that. Everyone already has their dresses and tuxedos. Except you gorgeous," I said kissing her head. Doctor Tasha told us it would be best if we waited for the day of the wedding to get Alli's dress fitted. She's been gaining like 4 pounds a week because Kyden is getting so big. Even though she's coming late, Kyden still eats a lot. Alli hates the extra weight, but I love it. She looks so cute, and she has this glow about her that I've never seen.
"Okay... Thank you Cody," she said and looked up at me waiting on me to kiss her. I connected our lips and started to pull away until she deepened the kiss. I couldn't let go because this felt amazing.
After we were done, I pulled away slowly and looked at her in her hooded eyes. Her face was now plump and round. I held on to her cheeks and smiled.
"I wanna take you out somewhere, okay?" I said.
"Sure. I'll get dressed and finish this paper later," she responded. I helped her up and she put on a light peach summer dress that was short. She then slid about 4 inch heels onto her already swollen feet. I didn't want to upset her, so I just let her put them on. I grabbed some extra shoes just incase and headed out the door.
She reached for the handle on the car which took me by surprise. I've opened every door for Allison ever since the first day we met. (Chivalry is NOT dead.)
"What are you doing?" I said from behind her.
"Opening the door....?" She said turning around, confused.
"When have I ever let you open doors?" I joked as I pulled the door open and helped her into my Camaro. I kissed her cheek before jogging around to the other side.
About 10 minutes later, we pulled into a spa/nail salon. I know Alli hasn't been feeling her prettiest lately, and I wanna spoil her.
"Really babe?" She asked me, shocked as I walked her up to the entrance.
"Yes. I think my future mommy deserves it," I said kissing her again. We walked in hand in hand. Some big buff dude stopped and spoke to Alli.
"Hey pretty lady," he said smiling really big at her. He was a red head, a good looking red head though. Alli looked at him and tried to figure out why he was even talking to her. I laughed at this rejection.
"Seriously? I'm walking in with my fiancé holding hands, there's a huge ring on my left ring finger, and not to mention, my stomach is huge. Bye," she dismissed him. I had a laughing fit as we approached the front desk.
"How may I help you?" A middle aged woman asked me.
"Whatever she wants, I'll get it too," I simply answered. The lady smiled and looked at Alli.
"You know, I feel like I have seen you two. Did you go to West Morgan high?" She asked Alli.
"Uhm... Yes ma'am we did. Till he knocked me up," she joked. The lady laughed then explained her question.
"Oh okay! I was just thinking that maybe you know my daughter," she said handing Alli a picture. My mouth fell open. It was Jessica.
"Oh yeah... We know her very well. But I think Cody knows her a lot better than I do. He's discovered her deepest, darkest crevices," my baby smirked at me. The lady didn't get it, but I chuckled lightly and blushed at how stupid I used to be.
"Yeah. She's a character alright. But what would you like for today ma'am?" She asked.
"What do you recommend?"
"Well, seeing that you are expecting, I would get the full body massage, the steamed bath, and the foot massage. Along with a mani-pedi also," she answered and smiled sweetly at Allison. I cannot believe this is Jessica's mom! Her mother is really nice, compared to her bitch ass...
"We'll get that. Okay babe? That means you get a mani-pedi too!" Alli and Mrs. Knight laughed.
"We've got a wedding in 5 days, and I need his hands to look good when I slide the ring on," Alli joked again.
"Well congratulations, and you two enjoy," Mrs. Knight said handing us two robes.
Alli and I went to the full body massage. I payed for a room all by ourselves, just so Allison wouldn't freak out and go on a rampage on how "fat" she's gotten. I try to tell her that she's pregnant, it's normal to gain weight and that before she knew it, the weight will be gone.
We took our robes off, and waited on the masseuses.
"You know what I don't understand babe?" I asked as we both laid there, commando. I was trying not to look at her so I won't get a hard on during this massage, but she's so beautiful.
"What?" She replied.
"I don't understand why you think you're fat. I know I've said this before, but I love your new body," I smiled over to her and she looked at me with loving eyes.
"I love you Cody, I really do," she said before laying down. And just then, a big Russian woman, and a blonde, pretty girl walked in. But she's nothing compared to Alli. No one turns me on, nor am I attracted to anyone else except my fiancé.
"I can't believe you're making me do this..." I sighed as I took a seat at the nail salon.. The Chinese lady whispered something to her friend and laughed. I shrugged it off, and started a conversation with my babe.
"So, what exactly were you writing earlier?" I asked.
"An essay about anatomy. Now we're studying what makes a child's blood sugar lower when they exercise." Alli's studying to be a pediatrician. (Kid's doctor)
"That's cool. Did you finish?" I asked already knowing the answer.
"Nope! You took the computer away, remember?" She giggled and looked at me. Our eyes locked and we sat there for a good 2 minutes. That is, until Alli's nail lady interrupted us, and asked what nail or nail color she wants.
"So, have you written your vows for the wedding?" She asked glancing over at me. My heart dropped. I knew there was something I was supposed to do! I was too busy working on baby Kyden's room. And I moved all the things from upstairs to down stairs, so I haven't had time. That on top of classes, it's just been crazy.
"Uh- ye-yeah babe... I uhmm- yeah, I got em!" I answered still shaken up.
"Okay, are you nervous?" She asked again. Am I nervous? I mean, the rest of your life with one person isn't exactly a walk in the park. I've heard marriage is one of the hardest things to do. That and raising a kid. And I'm about to do both. Now that I think about it, I'm nervous about it. What if I'm not a good husband? What if I can't take care of Alli once I graduate college? What if I spend too much time at work, and not with Alli and Kyden? All these things came rushing through my mind until I decided: Yes, I am nervous. But I'm completely ready.
"Yeah babe, you know I can't lie to you. I'm nervous, but I'm ready," I said. She nodded and agreed.
"You know what I can't wait for though?" I smirked at her.
"What?" She smiled over at me.
"I can't wait to call you my wife. I know fiancé is a big thing, but wife means forever. And I can't wait to hold my little girl. I'm gonna spoil her so much," I said smiling to myself thinking about our soon to be completed family.
"I can't wait to call you my husband. And I can't to hold my baby girl too-" Alli stopped and grabbed her stomach. I flinched almost ready to go into Daddy Mode. "I'm fine, she just kicked. She always kicks when we mention her name," Alli informed me while laughing.
"My baby is a genius just like her mommy and daddy already?!" I cooed at the baby the best I could without moving my hands.
We returned home after a day full of pampering. I carried Alli up the stairs because she was so tired. I settled her in the covers, and kissed her hair.
"Babe wait! You're not staying?" She asked pouting. I needed help from Shawn and Eva, so I was just gonna run over there real quick.
"I'm sorry babe, I can't. I have to go to Shawn's for like 20 minutes, I need help with something. I promise I'll be back before you wake up," I called going down the stairs. "Oh, I love you babe!" I yelled from the bottom. I heard her faint "I love you too," and was satisfied.
I rang Shawn and Eva's doorbell like 12 times, and I know they're home.
"Hey bro, what's up?" He asked opening the door.
"Bout time dude! Uhm, is Eva here?" I asked as he let me in.
"Yeah, she's got the baby. She's in her nursery if you wanna talk to her," he replied leading me over to the nursery.
"Actually, I wanna talk to both of you," I explained and there stood Eva changing my god-kids diaper.
"Hey, you wanna hold her when I get done?" She asked.
"Sure!" I exclaimed. They laughed as Eva handed me Kristyn.
We all took a seat in the living room, I balancing Kristyn in my lap.
"So, I need help... With my vows," I said grabbing a pen and a piece of paper.
"Ohhhh," they both said elongating the "o"
"Well, how do you feel about my best friend?"
"It's hard to explain. That's why I haven't written anything. But she's the light of my world. She and my daughter are everything to me. Allison is so beautiful, and her smile just makes me nervous. And the fact that she's able to go to school, plan a wedding, and carry a child is amazing to me. I love her so much, I for real do. I would die without her. I can't stand being away from her for too long. I need her more than I want her. And I want her 24/7, so that explains how much I need her," I confessed.
"There ya go. Here are your vows," she said and smiled to me. I guess I was too busy cooing at Kristyn to even know she was jotting down everything I said. I kissed Kristyn's cheek one last time and she smiled a toothless grin at me, then handed her to her father.
"Thanks guys!" I said hugging Eva then ruffling Shawn's hair, and left. Vows: completed. Only thing I have to do is make sure my mom and Alli's can get flowers and table placement cards. Shouldn't be that hard right?
A/N: Shouldn't be hard, right? A whole chapter in Cody's POV, took me long enough! Lol, how'd you like? I know I know, it's just a filler. But next chapter is the wedding, and it's quite long. Please comment, and vote, and follow me! I need as many comments as I can get! I love you guys!
