Chapter 8: Can I Stay Here?

!~* Cody's POV *~! 

Today at school went by so fast with my baby with me. I just love her so much, and I never want to be without her. Sure, I just met her like what? Two weeks ago? But who CARES. These have been the best two weeks of my entire life. Alli and I were in the car on the way to her house. 

"Babe? I bought the new Mac Miller album, you wanna listen to it?" She asked me. 

"YES BABE! I was gonna buy it for you, I know you love him," I smiled at her quickly then moving my eyes back to the road. 

"Not as much as I love you," she said inserting the disk. 

"But me I'm still trapped inside my head. I kinda feel like it's a purgatory," Mac's voice filled my truck and Alli rapped along. I love Mac Miller (no homo) because he's a deep rapper. Not all of his songs are about girls and weed and crap. 

We pulled into Alli's driveway. I was here to spend time with her and Jace, but more importantly Jace. I like that little guy, and he likes me. I promised we would play Black Ops today. 

"Hey dude, what's up?" Alli said walking in as Jace ran up to her. Jace worships the ground she walks on because her parents work a lot, so most of the time, it's just Alli and Jace. She takes really good care of him. 

"Alli! Alli! Alli! Okaysotodayatschoolibeatuptheschoolbullyandnoweverybodylikesme!" He said making it sound like it was all one word. 

"Whoa, whoa little dude. Slow down!" I said getting down on a knee so I could be at his level. I looked up at Alli who was smiling at me. 

"So what happened? Take a deep breath before you start," I instructed him. 

"Okay. So today at school this guy was being really mean to my bestfriend Vinny and I just got tired of it. So I swung and hit him right in the eye. Now everybody likes me and they want to be friends with me!" he said. 

"My man! Good job!" I high fived him then picked him up and set him on my shoulders. 

"Wait just a second Jace, get back here Cody," Alli said. Uhh ohh... 

"Yes?" Jace said with his head down. 

"You cannot just go around and hit people when you feel like it Jace! No matter how mad you get," She said pulling him off my shoulders. 

"Why not? You did," I whispered. 

"I'm sorry? What'd you say Mr. Anderson?" She said. Crap, she heard me. 

"Uhhmm... What did you hear is the question?" I sarcastically stated back. I thought she would back off, but nope! I should've known better, Alli always responds to my smart comments. Plus she's more quick witted than me. 

"I heard you say you didn't want me to hug you nor kiss you all day. And you also said that you shouldn't be allowed to touch me at all. I can easily make that happen if you would like?" Alli said looking at me in the eyes with a sarcastic tone. 

"Sorry bud. You gotta handle this on your own. Good luck," I said kissing my baby on the cheek then walking to the kitchen. 

"That's what I thought. Now, Jace, you know well better than that! I won't tell mom this time, but I will the next time I hear about you being violent at school again. You got that?"
