Beep beep! Beep beep!

I groan awake, stubbornly keeping my eyes shut, and shift to lie on my stomach. I hardly even notice the cold drool dribbling down the corner of my lips.

Beep beep! Beep beep!

"Just a few more minutes..." I grumble into my pillow.

Beep beep! Beep beep!

"Shut up."

Beep beep! Beep beep!

"Oh my god, shut up!" I violently kick my covers off of me, sliding out of my bed and storming to the other side of the room. I smack down the off button on top of my alarm clock with an open palm, and storm back to bed. My mom and I agreed long ago that the only possible way to get my butt out of bed is to make me stand up to turn off the alarm. You have no idea how much I suffer from it every day. I let myself collapse flatly onto the bed, face-down, letting out a gravelly groan. There's no turning back now--I already stood up once, and I'm too awake to go back to sleep.

I hate mornings.

Bzzt. Bzzt. My phone rattles against the side table. What's with all these sounds this morning? Blinking my eyes slowly, I reach out to pick it up gingerly. Someone just texted me. Fuma, in fact. What is it that he'd want so badly to text me early in the morning?

Fuma: Meet me outside in ten minutes. We need to talk.

I'm taken aback by his sudden command, but I obey without questioning.

I give a longing glance at the bed once more, and catch the eye of Mari-Bear, sitting loyally beside my pillow. I pick him up and hold him in front of me, poking at his hood that was turned inside-out during the night. I can feel my shoulders relax a bit at the mini Marius lookalike. After a quick squeeze, I tuck him into the bed, lying his head on my pillow.

Right. No time for distractions--Fuma will be waiting.

After one last look at Mari-Bear, I head over to my closet. I'm not feeling so up for effort today, so I throw on a pair of denim shorts, a slightly oversized but cute light pink sweater that slouches off my shoulders, and a pair of traditional white high-top Converse. I normally wouldn't wear pink on a day like this, but a voice at the back of my mind had urged me to "coincidentally" pick Marius' favorite color. It gives me a sort of warm feeling in my chest, knowing that I'm wearing his favorite.

I scribble a quick note on a Post-It to my mom, pressing it up against her bedroom's doorway. She'll surely see it there. I grab my usual white purse, push the front door open, and slide my key card to hear the familiar click of the lock.

When I get to the lobby, sure enough, I soon find a familiar brawn figure with a hood pulled over his blond-auburn dyed hair. With his big sunglasses on, I wouldn't be surprised if others would immediately recognize him as a celebrity. Or some sort of gangster, maybe. Good thing the place is basically deserted.

"Hey, Fuma," I say, shuffling up to the man. "What is it you want to talk about?"

But he doesn't answer my question. He just says, bluntly, "come on, Kento's waiting." Fuma stands up and beelines to the doorway. I purse my lips and trail behind him like a dog to their master.

Outside, Fuma leads me to a black SUV with nearly opaquely-tinted windows, except on the driver's and passenger's sides. It looks to be something that celebrities would probably ride on a drive to their concert. I wouldn't be surprised if it's Sexy Zone's travel SUV.
