Upside Down [Marius Yo Fanfiction]

Prologue

The government had decided, long ago, that due to the increasing divorce rates in the world and the issues it had brought to children and single parents, that a solution would be created to preserve a lifetime of love and devotion to each and every person.

At birth, every baby is given a ring that is immediately put on their ring finger. This ring has a special stone on it that continuously glows red for girls, and blue for boys. The child wears it throughout their entire life up until marriage, and it is expected that, with this ring, they will find their one and only soul mate. Once their soul mate is within a mile radius of the individual, the ring glows more purple. The purple glows stronger the closer they get to their soul mate until the two ultimately find each other. It is said that the rings never fail--and they never have.

Usually, people find their soul mates between the ages of 18 and 30. Couples usually marry soon after they find each other, and it is then that they take off their glowing rings and replace them with true wedding rings.

The rings do not have the possibility of glowing purple, no matter how close the person's soul mate is, until they are 15. Though, it's unheard of for anybody to find their special other before the age of 20.

But I am an exception to that statement, and unfortunately for me, marriage to my soul mate will not be so simple.

Hello hello, Marius fans!

Since it seems that the largest fan base for Sexy Zone on Wattpad is for Marius, I started writing "Upside Down". It's a bit more whimsical than my other stories, to fit Marius' character. Hopefully it'll be a fun read!

This fanfiction is rated T for Teen, and will have mild but rare cases of swearing. I doubt there'll be anything NC-17, really. I mean, Marius is only 15.
