I stars at the figure for several seconds, standing perfectly still. I'm hoping that this is like a wildlife scenario. Where I am trapped by a carnivore, but it only senses movement. But the figure, does see e and lunges for me.
I duck out of the way of the knife and run around the counter to the door. It would have been smarter to jump over the counter, which makes the figure smarter than me. He jumps over the counter and stands in my way. He grand me by my shirt and pushes me to the counter. He holds the knife above my face, ready to strike down.
Glass suddenly shatters and the figure falls to the ground leaving me unharmed. I look in front of me and see Terry threw a large trophy, from the case across the hall, through the glass and hit the figure.
Terry gestures me to get out. I run to the door and open it. I run down the hall and run back into the cafeteria with Terry. Immediately, we began to close the doors and lock them.
"What is going on," Meredith asks. "Where is Jennifer?" I turn toward her and she sees the terror in my eyes. She also sees something else. "Is that... blood?
I look down at myself and see that there is blood. Jennifer's blood.
"Where's my Mom," Carry asks. "Where is she?"
"Carry, I'm so sorry," I say.
"What happened to her?"
"She was..." I pause because I never thought I'd ever say this. "Jennifer was murdered."
